Did Ranked not end?

I entered a Ranked Solo/Duo game, and just like the normal season, it was a ranked game? I lost and got demoted to Silver 4, but I thought the ranked season ended? I am really confused.

Rank season ended Nov 7 so it locked you as sliver already playing rank during preseason will help your mmr for next season rank

You can play Ranked all year round. Season 7 just ended, we're now in Preseason 8. What you accomplish between now and Season 8 will influence your placements in Season 8.
