Anyone else very satisfied with autofill?

I don't think it's ever been better, honestly. In my past 50 games or so I got autofilled maybe 3-4 times and whenever it happens I just politely ask for someone to support and most of the time someone agrees to switch. I think I supported maybe 2 times total this whole season. My main roles are adc/jungle and sometimes mid. What are your experiences and do you share my view? I see a lot of people complaining about autofill but I don't get why

Don't mind me. Just a support main trying to figure out what this "autofill" is supposed to be.

I played the old pick order system, I don't give a fk about autofill.

unless your high diams, aufo fill isnt an issue IMO. I can fill every roles at plats levels. i don't give a **** about autofill. Even if ill play MonkeyKing everywhere (already played Wu adc and won).

This only started this season. I remember getting auto-filled a lot more last season.

Riot said they've improved the system so that you get auto-filled less now.

Riot has autofill because some positions are less desired to be played meaning that bottlenecks will happen.

And if they get rid of autofill they will also in effect be removing secondary support players who are fine with playing support every 4th or 5th game in turn making the bottleneck even worse.

They tried no autofill in season 6 and changed it after that proved to not work that well.

Once I found out just how little autofill did for queue times, I don't see a point at all.

This is so much dramatically better than the previous system where you had people who would go "mid or feed" in champ select. It was really disheartening and an extremely negative experience.

It shouldn't be a thing in gold and below. It isn't suffering from que times since a majority of the player base is there, and some people will just troll if they get a role they don't want. It is also really shitty to go against someone in a role you aren't familiar with when they almost exclusively play that role.

Ex) I don't play top lane, but when I get autofilled, I always go against that guy who only plays top lane and understands a large majority of the match ups. That is my biggest problem with autofill. It's like putting your goalie on offense in soccer. They probably could play it, but it would be much more suited for someone who actually is proficient in that role. And don't get me started on autofill in NORMALS lol

I remember the old system where 4 people were autofilled in essence, because only the first pick got to really keep their role and everyone else had to shuffle around manually.

Auto-fill never really hurts me since I commonly run Top or Support as a secondary.

On a side note, ADC/JG are a really unusual preferences to main imo since their play styles are really different. Do you play the marksmen junglers specifically or normal jungler picks? (JG is my worst role so I was curious).

What's Autofill? Can I eat it?

I can play any role - so I select Auto-fill intentionally. The game usually starts in less than a minute that way.

I'd be satisfied of the scenario didn't go something like this

Start the lobby, get selected role, someone dodges Start the lobby, get selected role, someone dodges start the lobby, get selected role, someone dodges start the lobby, get selected role, get autofilled support.

Why? Because even 1 game getting a role I don't run puts me at a higher risk to lose. Which with the crap match making already in place , I don't any thing else adding to possibility of loosing lp or even being demoted
