Ekkos Q Rework, already?

I've never played Ekko to know if you can do this but here's my idea.

Because of Ekko's Q having to comback to him. Would it be awesome if you could kite your enemy and hit their champ three times? Imagine your kiting a champ (Chogath) and suddenly you spam your Q towards him, it connects and comes back making you finish casting your Q, right? No. Maybe if you had your ulty up right before the Q touches Ekko. You ulty behind the champ making the Q switch directions hitting the Chogath three times.

Amazing? Or would it be too op? But it's a pretty sick theory of an outplay. Am I right? The third Q coming back would have less base damage and ap ratio than the first and second proc.
