Curse Voice

My friend plays smite, another moba that is in first person based off of mythology, and he is diamond 5. Thats a pretty high ranking, yet in league he is only able to get up to silver. Some people might say hes just not good enough mechanically or that he can't get used to the smite controls or whatever, but do you know what his excuse is? Communication. In the smite community, most of the players at least at high level of competitive play use this wonderful program called Curse Voice. This program is a voice chat program such as teamspeak3 or Skype. However, it is League of Legends cmpatible and user friendly. Basically how it works is one person can start a cv call. Once started, they can then copy a link and put it in pregame lobby. Then anyone can put that link into their Curse Voice program allowing your entire team to be complete strangers but will still be able to communicate and never have to deal with eachother again.

But what is the point to all this? Communication. League of legends i find has an amazing potential for team capabilities. I mean, the team that wins is typically the team that communicates best. League has tried itself to make optimal communication through pings and the chatbox, but typing takes time. Pings take time. All of that time that can add up to you getting unexpectedly jumped while typing and killed or ur pings coming just a little late and then ur team blames u for not pinging sooner. I personally have played other competitive games such as smite and csgo and this voice communication makes the game sooo much better. People are less toxic to eachother I have found for starters because people now make a subconcious relationship with the other people they are talking to. This relationship is lost in text and therefore people feel more free to say whatever they feel like. Secondly, people now having this subconscious relatiionship now are more willing to listen to eachother. When people are listening to eachother they can come up with better strats, how to take down opponents and do teamfights better next time around, the game becames a better learning envirenment. People learn faster what to do and not do do to the constant analyzing of teamfights that players could talk about after one. Like after a teamfight that is lost, people often just say 'Oh look, lux was an idiot again and out of position.' or whatever, Without the toxicity however, this review can become people saying instead 'Damn that was a close one. I think we need to stick together more with lux in the back and our tanks in the front.' Someone typing that would lose all emotional appeal, but saying those words with real emphasis would get teams to work together more.

I'm not sure if its just me, but I feel that Verbal communication is a neccessity to the success of any team orientated competitive game (TOCG). Considering the fact that this is exactly what league of legends is, I think that it needs to get on par with the other TOCGs that are out their since the only real verbal communication is through maybe a duo queue u have on skype and proffesional playing.

My hope is that we as a community spread word of this program and take advantage of it. Tell ur friends and every lobby you get into of this program Curse Voice and maybe we can make a change for the better in the League community. Thanks for reading all the way through guys, and i hope that you can agree with me that this would be a beneficial and neccessary addition to league of legends. Thanks everyone!

TL:DR Curse Voice is a cool program that could add verbal communication to league instead of typing and pinging out every strat we make, however, I need your help to spread the word if we are to get this cool idea to the whole league community.

Riot doesn't like this, I think it is bannable.

Curse Voice isn't something we need to add to League.

Both communities are garbage, but Smite is newer. A virgin, for lack of better terms. :^)
