So, let us assume each normal game is 30 minutes. 20 games, that are 30 minutes each= 10 hours. 10 hours with the 16 basic champions. 160 hours. Now, let us add more champions. 170 hours. 180 hours. Hell, if a person had 100 champions saved up for every occasion, but has a few champs that he has only played 10 games with, he would have to play 5 hours with each champion to use the champion. This solution may seem good at first glance, but you have to think about it deeply. I understand you want to stop first timers, or noobs with their champions, but this is a piss poor method about doing it.

I see this a lot, some people say mastery 2, others say X games, and some say N wins. Why not just 1, it stops the "first time champ x lol" stuff. If someone dedicates a lot of time to a champion then plays it in ranked they should climb. People who don't should fall. there is a degree of randomness to ranked and if you are going to climb you will climb. Some people will just need more game than others. You will still get trolls, cheaters, AFK players, connection issues, super snowballs, and all kinds of things in higher level games. Watch a few streams if you don't believe me. Anyways what I'm getting to is that mentality in ranked makes a difference, if you go in saying I know how to play champs XY&Z and have Nx10 games on them all, you should do better than the guy who goes 'I'm level 30 now and average 5 kills to every death in bot games lets try ranked' or the guy who just plays whatever he saw do well last game. Also would games be stored client or server side?

20 is a pretty damn high number tbh. I'm not against the idea, but maybe lower it to at least 15 maybe even lower? I know you really don't want to be playing champs you haven't mastered yet in ranked, but at the same time, it's like the occasional game where you get forced into an off lane and need a champ that you probably don't have many games on but can play that there might be issues.

I feel it should be at least 10 games in normals before you get to play a champion. Who honestly has more than eight champions lined up and waiting to play ranked as soon as they hit level 30 anyway? Chances are you've played 10 games with 8 champions by then.

Ooooorr, y'know....have them learn the easy champs that aren´t feast or famine or make FL4$HYLC$B1GPL4Y$.

People still don´t get that you don´t need Yasuo or Zed or Lee Sin or Riven to carry.

Champs as simple as Kayle or Shyvana can carry just as hard or even harder, cuz they´re easier to wrap your head around kit-wise.

Yes i did just call Shyvana a simple champion. Probably cuz i just enjoy baiting Lee Sin out in his own jungle and prevent him from getting his own camps.

And then that one champ that you've got twenty games on gets banned. Whoops, you now can't pick a champion.

1 would be enough, most of champions got similar mechanics.

iv been playing since season 1 and till today there are some champs that iv played 2 or 3 times only (leb, akali. talon. riven..) last season they remade Ashe, tried her twice in normal, got fed and carried, took her to ranked >>> climbed to gold they nerfed Ashe, Remade MF, tried her twice in normal, got fed and carried, took her to ranked >>> climbed to Plat note that before the remakes my total games with Ashe were about 3 and MF 9 or 10 max

or make it required to be lvl 3 with a champion in order to be able to play it in ranked

so that means i can just go screw around and do nothing in those 20 games? i mean i can just go to a normal game and build full AP on a champion with no AP ratios every single time or build the most random items ever but i still played 20 games so that counts right?

In the meantime just look people up on a stats site. If they dont play their thing you dodge and easily climb.

Good Idea but i think 10 games is enough.

Better idea: The number of the specific champions "difficulty bar"
