I personally think she needs a rework where tibbers has more interaction/involvement and her main power is tuned down.

This is a really stupid idea. TF can't hold his gold card together because his stun has a 6 freaking seconds cooldown with 0% CDR, that's why Annie has to charge his stun, and she either have to be really good at lasthitting with Q - and thus she got prized for her ability with a greatly reduced CD - or use her whole kit to charge it and in the second case she pays the stun charge with having two abilities on CD

I did not know Annie could CS while saving her stun.

I didnt know Annie had a semi-global teleport.

I didnt know Annie could fight while saving her stun for someone else.

They are completely different champions, get over it.

Shit like this is why G&B shouldnt be considered at all. Crying about Annie while Ahri and Lux exist is completely absurd.

"But muh skillshot! Those two having beter pick/win rates than Annie doesnt matter herp derp"

Holding on her stun is literally the only reason she is useful mid/late game. If she is holding her stun in lane just use your bigger range to farm safetly.

Oh my god, a passive reset after so long. This is it. This is how to balance Annie Annie, Riot. DO EET.

Wait so you guys really think that it would fix anything? She can just hold 3 stacks and then flash E, R, Q, W lol. Now it's worse because you didn't even see it coming. Annie's who hold their flash forever are seriously not playing her to her full potential.

LeeDark9/20/2015, 7:08:48 PM9 votes

The problem with this idea lies in how Annie builds up to her passive. With your idea, either you put a time limit on all her stacks, or just the activated stun.

Obviously, putting it just on the stun isn't really a solution, because Annie then just sits on three stacks instead, then activates the stun, flashes in, and immediately uses it.

Unfortunately, putting a time limit on all the stacks threatens to make Annie worthless. Even if you buff the passive to stun on the third spell, forcing Annie to go through a full damage rotation every time she wants to stun makes her passive basically worthless. And you would have to buff it, because forcing her stun to require Q-W-Q or Q-W-E BEFORE you can ult for a stun would just be fucking ridiculous.

Giving her ult the Event Horizon treatment is a better solution, honestly. It rewards Annie for properly predicting enemy movement, while giving the opponent the ability to outplay Annie and avoid the stun and damage altogether. She flashes, throws her bear, it lands half a second or three quarters of a second later, and you either moved out of it or into it.

If the stacks and/or effect fell off after 5 seconds it would be a great help to dealing with her zoning.

It's exactly like TF - she just taunts you with it while last hitting/zoning because otherwise you eat her entire burst rotation while stunned.

Forcing her to cast a spell every 5 seconds isn't unreasonable. I would even be ok with Molten Shield granting move speed or something to compensate.

TF doesn't need to spend 4 spells to get a stun.

is this really a thread full of people who can't watch their positioning around a short range mage?

Mickey Donnerudo9/20/2015, 4:40:58 PM6 votes

You'd have to compensate her with something else, then.

What the fuck else would you want? Mobility? Damage?

Are you REALLY sure you want a dashing Annie? Or an insta-kill Annie?

Or a longer ranged Annie?

Aheadatime9/20/2015, 11:38:25 PM5 votes

"Give her passive the TF treatment" - Annie now just sits at 3 stacks. She presses E then whatever ability she wants to use with her stun.

"Make her throw tibbers" - Ok. Annie now flashes in with W to stun. Throws tibbers while they're all stunned.

In both cases, nothing changes. I play annie mid when the enemy chooses someone that I don't like using malz against. I don't find her overbearing. Here's some tips for dealing with her -

  1. Gank her often. She has no escapes.

  2. Pick a ranged champ into her, like xerath or lux.

  3. Scatter. When you're grouping/seiging, don't stay clumped. Spread out across the lane. This nullifies her tibbers.

  4. Time her flash. Without flash, her tibbers is very hard to use.

  5. Go kill her. Seriously, if she uses tibbers and doesn't wreck your team bc you clumped, just go kill her. Shes has no escapes and has cooldowns to deal with.

The only problem with that is TF's "Pick A Card" has a static cooldown whereas Annie's passive is triggered after a certain number of spellcasts. The number of spells required to proc her passive would need to be tweaked to compensate the change, or simply make her passive last slightly longer than TF's Pick A Card.

The title should actually be:

"Prevent Annie from roaming and planning strategically like any other champion that uses some sort of stack system."

JustMyBassCannon9/20/2015, 7:53:19 PM4 votes

Difference is that TF doesn't have to cast 4 spells to get his stun.

LionelLeon9/20/2015, 7:59:07 PM4 votes

please dont compare two super different champions

Annie stun no counterplay

summoner 1 item 3102 item 3140

If the stun is really bothering you, there's options for it- or pick a champion that outranges her. This game isn't balanced around blind pick, sometimes you need to adjust your playstyle

Actually xPeke9/20/2015, 4:32:40 PM3 votes

It wouldn't make a change for good Annie players, since you just wait 1 stack before your stun then 1 ability + ult

CapsPL0X9/21/2015, 12:55:02 AM3 votes

Hey lets QQ about Annie, I'm sure it will solve the problem and we will be more skilled overall.

Who cares about strategy when you can do twitch reactions amirite.
