Tips on How to play Galio Support?

I enjoy playing the support role and I really enjoy playing Galio, but I can't seem to make it work, I usually max RQWE and go 18/12 in cunning and resolve, with ap runes and flat health runes because I haven't saved up enough IP to get the scaling health runes, with thunderlords as my keystone for the harass with his Q,
