So a few patches ago around 7.1-7.3, I was doing really good, Had a 52 -54% over all win rate, Had the goal in mind to reach plat by the end of this season, and I reached gold 4 halfway to gold 3. But then something weird happened in which no matter what I did I lost even when I played carefully and tried to think about every decision I made. As a result, I ended up losing 10 games in a row which brought me down back to Gold 5 and 0 lp. Since 7.3 I've struggled to win games to the point my win rate is under 50% and I've dropped to Silver 1. My MMR is really bad as I only win 13 lp and lose 23 lp (which is basically the opposite of what it used to be.

Things I've tried.

  1. Looking up optimal builds for the champions I play or at least core builds.
  2. Expanding my pool to newer champs or better champs
  3. Picking champs based on what my opponent picks verses what my team needs
  4. Looked up guides on optimizing jungle clears and rotations in my jungle. (in which besides when I make a mistake, I usually am ahead of my opposing jungler early - mid game unless again if something really bad happens.)
  5. I've tried focusing on only specific champions for my roles and keeping the amount of champions i pick limited so I play at my best.
  6. I looked at other people's coaching sessions on youtube (as i cant afford my own) and tried to learn from those guides.
  7. Tried reviewing my own games and learn from my mistakes but as a (used to be) gold player, I can only see so many mistakes before it would take someone of a higher elo to see more mico/ macro play mistakes im making without realizing it.
  8. I still struggle with this but I am working more on communicating with my team about what to do.

Not everything I've tried is on here but I've tried a lot and I've reached a point of being tilted half the time to the point of barely trusting anyone I get on my teams (which I know is a bad thing). One thing I have definately noticed is that whenever I die (unless if im dying to win ) We lose a lot more (objectives, towers, the game??) than when my teammates die even when On average I die less than my team (not all the time though.). I know this probably isn't the best place to ask for assistance but I feel really fed up. Idk what to do since I'm losing to people that I should be winning against all the time.

Edit: I'm open to any suggestions and also in the ban phase I usually ban junglers like graves to avoid them shitting on my team.

I thought everything you listed sounded great and I could probably learn a lot from you, myself.

I was thinking... what if instead of even counter picking the enemy team, that you play your top win% champs? Now of course it wont make sense to play an AD Jungler like Yi if your entire team is AD.... but other then those extreme counter pick scenarios, just play your highest win rate champ. This is a clear indication you play that champ very well and maybe the best of all your champs.

Well, if I were to try to help here:

  • Changing champs has never helped me when it comes to loss streaks. Just stick with your most comfortable champs. Keep this shit simple, summoner.

  • Ban consistent carries. Not Yasuo. Not Zed. Not Lee. Consistent carries. Basically champs with high pick rates and good win rates, especially ones you don't do well fighting against. Graves isn't a good ban for MY elo, but he is for yours so Graves bans are fine for you for now. I just perma-ban Cait until someone shows up that's more deserving.

  • I tend to look at my builds to find ways I could change my build path to be better prepared to win over others through strategy...although I'm a support main so that one doesn't translate as well as it might, especially when Redemption -> Locket is pretty much the ideal. Regardless, what I mean is that I give and take slight variations to my early game build path depending on the situation, as well as my build after that core. Maybe you could try something like that? If you see some lane going haywire early and you got the room for it, you can buy an early hex without someone reminding you, or build Merc treads when going up against a Malz and a Cho. >_>

  • People have this stupid habit in League that persists through most elos, if not all of them, where they play with their food and style for the camera when they get comfortable. This allows enemies to just cash in on kills, get the comeback, and snag wins they don't deserve. It also allows you to hang in there and steal back wins YOU don't otherwise deserve. I'm not saying you should always pray for this, as it largely depends on the champs on each team and how well you can group and fight back against siege. If you're getting clean aced repeatedly, you're doneso, but if you're noticing that you're making it relatively close, even if you lose an objective, I'd keep from mentally discarding the game. Even if you're a pessimist like me, keep your mind actively looking for win conditions. If one shows up, cling to it and try to get everyone on board to exploit it. Even if it's as random as "Send a banner cannon to bait an enemy away from an incoming fight 2 lanes away", look for 'em.

  • Your support needs Locket/Redemption every game. Both of them. Every game. Every time. Doesn't matter what anyone thinks. Almost doesn't matter who they use, even. BOTH OF THEM. EVERY GAME. It makes that big of a difference in fights. Make the effort to at least ask for these items if you even think they won't build them.

Outside of that, you just gotta figure out how you can approach each match in ways that'll net you wins more consistently.

Thanks, I'll try to be more adaptive in my builds and make sure I never BM again ( As A trick2g fan, I used to BM a lot back when I was winning, even though I don't do it as much now, I'll make sure I keep it that way although maybe it could be im just not having as much fun... hmm). Also I used to buy redemption every game... (even on Rengar sometimes) maybe I should do that again.
