Courage of the Crowd Control?

So apparently they are removing strength of the ages... im very sad now. SoTA was kinda just plain awesome, and the info about courage of the colossus isnt sufficient enough to fully understand it so far... This brings the question of "What is crowd control"?

Technically even a slow counts as cc, albeit mild cc. Will you still be able to get a shield when you smack someone as nunu and chuck a snowball at their face? (Edit: This question has already been answered!)

How does CoC scale into late game? and how many times can you proc it (What is the cool down)?

This is only the begining of the endless list of questions I have...

It was said Slows/Frosts do not trigger the CoC shield...

on another post i do not feel like going to a rioter said only hard immobiliseing/ displacement cc. the post shouldnt be too far in my post history

It is only hard cc, no slows silences etc

According to a riot post, it gives a shield scaling with the number of nearby enemies when you hit a root, stun, or knock. It apparently is a large shield with a sizeable cooldown.
