His early game is one of the best of any mage. He is a champion that never falls off at any time during the game. Because of his passive, you can just spam your spells with the normal mage items. His hitbox on his Q is waaay to big and super hard to dodge when your playing melee against him. The only thing that isn't broken about him is his mobility, which like most mages, isn't very good.
Along with a very low play/ban rate, Xerath has struggles to achieve even 49% winrate at any elo.
And his already relatively low winrate actually does dip after 15 minutes.
Xerath is an artillery mage, meaning u have to get on top of him. The duration of his stun scales with distance traveled, to a minimum of only 0.5 seconds. So if [insert melee midlaner] is on top of him, he is more dead than any other mage in the game, except if you feed him 2 items before 15 minutes ofcourse. Source: m7 xerath
