Soz Malphite is actually pretty solid in the jungle this season, and I've been wondering, what with his W passive scaling with AD and E scaling with armor and slightly AP, it seems like Malphite's kit is mostly utility, so would it possibly be viable to build him tanky/AD with a tri force or something? Just an interesting thought. Share yours!
Malphite sites rather close to a fighter rather than being a pure tank. If you think building damage ratios can benefit your team more than being a tank without ways to redirect damage to yourself, I really don't see anything wrong with it.
SO. I ran these numbers a while back, and I do like AD off tank malph. Hilarious tidbit for you: If you max his W (brutal strikes) and buy a hydra you do more damage to the enemies AROUND your target than you do to your target. XD
If only there was an item that gave both AD and Armor...
Either way, I have played AD Malphite before, W works really well with Hydra! It is a little tricky to justify more than 1 or 2 AD items tho
You should still max Q first, since it is your main poke, escape and chase mechanic (HIS Q IS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOD) I suppose you could go 1pt E then max W tho
I have played him AD off tank, and I think he's quite effective either way because his main components are health and armor. I'd still recommend building a Liandry's, though, because of the amount of AoE damage he offers.
