Too many gameplay changes, it's getting tedious. Also: Visual Updates?
Hi, I just wanted to talk about how fast the game keeps changing and how difficult it's become to catch up with the meta when it shifts so drastically every 2 weeks.
I feel like League hasn't been in a stable state in so long. Compared to it's stability last season, season 8 has been a mess with champion mini-reworks, new items, and item reworks, etc. I just feel as if changes like these shouldn't be so drastic being almost just two weeks apart. It becomes so much harder to understand the meta when it constantly changes every time said big changes occur. It makes the game tedious when you have to make do with gaming strategies before having to re-think those strategies the next patch, I feel like giving players more time to appreciate each change would be the smartest approach rather than dumping change after change in an effort to make the gae more dynamic. Maybe focus on small hot-fixes to champs for like a month or two before implementing huge gameplay changes. Besides, we have mid-season changes and pre-season for changes such as those.
Other than this, I was also wondering if visual updates were still in the cards? Your last sole visual update was to Kassadin back in 2015 and I just think that there's a lot of champions in your roster that are still popular and somewhat meta, but are in desperate needs of visual updates, for example:
and
.
I just feel as if there's so much focus on gameplay changes that there's barely any focus on player experience as a whole. Nowadays it feels like
's design belongs in a game far different from champion designs such as
or
. I just think that the Riot teams need to focus on making champions and champion designs feel consistent all across the board instead of making gameplay changes to
or giving
another benign mini-rework every other patch.
