Zed 'nerfs'

Is this a joke?

Razor Shuriken (Q)

  • Base damage lowered to 70/105/140/175/210 from 75/115/155/195/235

  • AD ratio reduced to .9 from 1.0

  • Damage on Multi hit on same target changed to 75% from 50%

Death Mark (R)

  • Proc damage increased to 30/40/50% from 25/35/45%

  • AD ratio lowered to .5 from 1.0

Early game, where he is a massive lane bully, you did virtually 0 change and if anything gave a big buff with the extra 25% damage on multiple hits. To make this even more of an insulting change you increase the death mark damage. Sure, the AD ratio is lower but rarely does death mark kill by itself. Why do you have to keep giving compensation buffs out like this? He needs nerfs and just nerfs. If he's too weak then you can consider buffs later like you do with PRACTICALLY EVERY OTHER DAMN CHAMPION. These sort of changes, even if just on PBE, show up as a clear bias and favouritism towards some champions.

its a power shift.

he gets less base damage, and the damage is moved over to him needing to hit his own and his shadows abilities on a target, which makes him generally more difficult to play.

its harder to pick people off by just ulting them and runnign away, since his ult deals a lot less base damage now.

its harder to deal significant damage without hitting his opponent with the shuriken of his shadow and his own.

all this is supposed to punish terrible zeds while keeping him effective for good zed players.

You don't seem to understand the numbers behind Zed's ult change

For every 100 total AD you have you need to to 1000 damage just to match the old ult damage

The changes are good overall and reward him for landing multiple shurikens simultaneously, while hitting his R E AA combo and poke

Probably need to nerf the improved waveclear from the change though

I see you're not keeping up with Riot's posts

The balance team wholeheartedly believes Zed is in a balanced state

The majority of the lower-rated community disagrees

To appease these people, they are trying to increase Zed's skill cap and decrease his success rate, without making him a weaker champion.

Your complaints are the reasons why they are even considering changing him at all, so why would you complain about the changes?

When riot said "zed is a healthy assassin" they all laughed. Hard. It was a joke.

This "nerf" is litterally -35 base damage and -0.1AD on an ability that is already one of the safest, most powerful harass tools in the game.

Wanna know what a real nerf would be? Make it so zeds shurikens dont pass through units. THAT would be a real, meaningful nerf. what we have here is more damage in general...

That's a power shift, but one that benefits the laning Zed and not the Assassin Zed. I'd like to see this change and how it would effect gameplay.

You realize that death mark change is 100% a nerf for anyone who doesn't play him perfectly, right? You'd have to do 10x your AD in the R window to just break even with the old damage.
