passive: Ekko's basic attacks deal bonus magic damage versus targets below 30% of their maximum health.

^ that's on his W. The amount of stuff this guy has in his kit, what was the point of throwing ANOTHER passive on him. RIOT please

Back in my day champions had passive abilities as the entire ability!

I suppose when Riot gets to reworking these guys they'll give them 5 blinks and true damage based in their own health or some such nonsense.

I don't get the whining about "overloaded kits". I wish every champ played like Yasuo, Riven, Ekko, Thresh, and Zed. Do you really want the game full of Annie and Kayle, where even the worst players can beat you in lane because their champs are so simple?

The worst phase of this game was when Kayle was strong. All she had to do was hit E, right click on you, and use Q. If she needed to escape, she used heal / ult. Needed to chase, Q and W ensured she would catch you. Extremely simple champs like that just dumb the game down.

Because he dies easily, and the passive on his W isn't very effective early game. I'm also quite sure there are many other champions with 2 passives...so?

To the people complaining about Ekko.

His issue isn't his kit, it is his numbers. His numbers are a bit overtuned across the board, but a few small taps should fix it up.

  1. His mana cost on his abilities are near non-existant if not talking about Q. Ekko has a decently hard time going OoM because of this. This means more timewinders to dodge (his only real high costing ability) and more dashing around for him. His ult doesn't even cost mana for some reason. No clue why, but it doesn't.

  2. His W should scale per rank on stun duration (Seriously, the only broken thing about it is he has access to his full duration stun at rank 1. 1 point wonder much? No other hard CC that last so long and isn't an ult STARTS at that length.). 1.25 - 1.5 - 1.75 - 2 - 2.25. Fixed. This will also mean he has to use that shield in a fight against an enemy if he stuns them, rather than having it expire before the enemy even is un-stunned.

Change this first. Change his hidden power, not his real power, then lets get a feel for how he is. Already next patch one of his biggest items is getting a pretty sizable nerfs (Luden's Echo got a small AP ratio nerf and stacks at half value from spell-cast. Which I hate, as it makes it worthless on Ryze now sadly.)
