BoTRK doesn't steal Yi's movespeed because he can't be slowed?

Yi while ulting can't be slowed. Other forms of CC work.

I believe the Rioter that removed it disliked it from a "power without gameplay" standpoint.
From what I've experienced though - it's really, really, really powerful as a first major item.
Thornmail reflects AA damage prior to damage reductions, so it essentially treats AA's as true damage for what it reflects. Then the 100 armor comes into play and makes you not deal true damage to someone with it. Basically - you'll reflect ~60% of the damage you take with 50% damage reduction. Add in base armor vs. base MR, and it's 60% of the damage you take.
Also - to allow 30% life steal to counter the 30% damage reflection, you need the same effective MR (after the thornmailer's m pen) as the thornmailer has effective armor (after your armor pen).
No item has any 2 of life steal, armor penetration, or magic resistance. Late game when you can get decent amounts of all 3 thornmail isn't much of an issue.
Early game in a big momentum swing part of Treelines though? Different ballpark.
