Why is Quinn considered a Troll pick?

So i play normal draft for the time being, and i've been concerned about something concerning my main, Quinn. Everyone who got to get me in their team, at least one or more player were considering my pick ''troll'', ''unviable'', ''Useless''.. Is that normal? I usually pick top/jungle as first choice and i put adc on second, sometime i get top, get flamed on, and sometime i get adc, and still get flamed on.. Why is that hate so strong toward the champion i love ? Why is everyone so stuck on the meta and refuse to let some champion shine over the current FOTM?..Quinn is stated as a marskman,fighter; so why when i end picking Adc Quinn, people just rage ? I would like to understand where all this hate come from.

Because she is rarely played, so if you dont play Zed or Yasuo or some other overplayed champ youre a "troll"

I actually spammed her in URF mode and zoomed around at 1k movespeed all the time! So much fun!

Well, the all random is fun but they don't unlocked whole champion pools for everyone neither added bans.. so yea it failed really hard. Moving at 1700 movement speed is awesome thought ![slayer-jinx-wink]

One time I played Quinn ADC and after our jungler died tanking proceeded to flame me the entire game about how Quinn wasn't an ADC and she's useless and I should play a real character... All of this coming from a (Warwick?) That was feeding while I was something like 4/2/x

I hear it pretty often lately. And don't judge someone who pick their main regardless what it is, it's better to let someone play what they good at, over force them into something they are bad with.

Thats not true at all. I'd rather you go 0-3 in lane but be tanky for the adc mid-late game, Instead of going 3-0 in lane but completely losing mid to late game.

I love having a good quinn on my team,

But if the enemy team is

Akali Amumu Nautilus Braum Lucian

and my team is

Syndra Ashe Nami Graves and you decide to pick quinn

I will wonder how far from the depths of bronze you came from.

I mean if you're first pick 2nd pick maybe even 3rd yeah whatever but if you're last pick and you quinn it in that situation... You better fuckin carry the game because i will ask you why you're an idiot if we lose for that reason

There is always exceptions, if we have too many squishy, i will probly rather play Garen Rammus DrMundo than Quinn but if i get tank jungler, a decent tank support, i might risk the Quinn pick. I'm not a complete idiot either.

If the champ isn't meta or isn't a popular esports pick - then they're considered a "troll pick" sadly.

It's best to just ignore those folks criticizing your pick and just play the champ that you love. Show them your strengths in game and pretty much prove them wrong otherwise. Teemo is considered a troll pick since the early days; however, that doesn't mean he isn't viable. He just has a bad rep and is considered a poor teamfighter compared to the likes of tankier top laners/Rumble/Gnar/Kennen/GP/etc. He's outclassed in teamfights; however, he has other strengths like map control and surprise ambushes along with multiple builds that can catch players off guard. However, I still love playing the little guy occasionally as I love his design and character (despite the lol satan meme)

Just pick the champ you'd like to play and if you're confident in your skills, you should have no reason to worry about your pick.

Remember that in the end, League is a game catered to the entertainment of its players. Not everyone will be happy with the picks of others; however, it's up to your to show others your playstyles. Not everyone has to be a meta sheep. :) Sure some champs are outclassed by others; however, dedication can definitely bring in the element of surprise of lesser picked champs regardless.

As a Quinn main I think its because people don't like her lack of doing anything for the team when behind(with bad Quinn players). When in reality if you know what your doing you can still make a huge impact with proper roaming.

Proper roaming and successful gank on either bot lane or mid lane, or even invading enemy jungler( depending who is the enemy jungler of course) and assisting your own jungler can be extremely powerful in good hand. People just don't realize it.

this guy right here knows whats up.

i have a 58% win rate with ekko support (last I checked), but one game where every lane fed, and I personally had the best score on my team. it somehow cause my adc to flip out on me in end game lobby pinning the entire loss on me. even though it was a 20min GG and literally everyone on my team feed.

here is a though about rank...

rank isnt something to be ashamed of. i feel rank is just a way for riot to put players of similar skill levels vs each other so they can have fair games and enjoy and have fun playing the game... hear me out...

you are bronze.. what if every game you matched vs plats and diamonds? and you get stomped up and down the map and the game is no fun to you.. are you likely to keep playing if that is what happens every time?

on the other hand if your plat/diamond whatever "high" elo if you playing vs people lower skill level then you is that fun not every being challenged? it would be like if you were to go play a game co op vs bots or a custom game vs bots and the difficult is set on easy?

how fun is that?

so in theory rank is there to put us vs people we have a chance to win against while being challenged so the game is fun and rewarding at the same time and keeps you playing..

Normal is not the same regardless, i'm currently unranked because i don't own 16 champions yet to play ranked. But i keep get against people who are plat/diamonds. I find that a bit annoying. My last game support raged on me( i stopped answer to him after first sentence) about how i was getting shitted on by enemy bot lane, when the enemy support is a Diamond 4 Thresh with 567k Mastery 7. I clearly had zero chance. But regardless, i tried to have fun and improve. I just dislike how people beat you down whatever you do.

Quinn top used to be okay, but now its not so good. Quinn jungle is pretty bad as well. Quinn isn't that good of a pick anywhere. There are champs that do what she does but better, thats why.

I beg to differ here, just played her Jungle a few minute ago and carried my team. I made Riven top snowball, same for my Ashe, and mid carried himself, i just supported. She is not bad in jungle.

I don't think she's a troll pick. She's actually very strong and in the right hands can solo carry any game. She's a lane bully that can easily roam and pick up kills even when behind and has split push potential late game. She won't fall off as hard if your team has a tank since she's squishy. Either way it's better than you picking Teemo.

I've never considered quinn a troll pick but it's definitely a weak pick.

Everything she does top lane Gnar can do better and safer. She's INCREDIBLY squishy and INCREDIBLY prone to being ganked like most other ranged top laners with very limited cc. She's also snowball reliant since she doesn't particularly have an amazing late game, and if she doesn't snowball her lane she's going to be mincemeat come teamfight time against teams with at least a moderate amount of cc. Her range is rather tiny and her only form of hard cc can be interrupted mid cast since it's a dash (which actually can make her have interestingly weak matchups against champs like Darius that she traditionally is thought of as a counter) and it literally smacks people melee range during animation. Honestly if her headbutt thing was replaced with something that had more range and was less risky then she'd be pretty fine.

It depend in the hand of who. Never judge the champion, A pro could play any champion AD and win. Also Quinn was made to be a marksman, not fitting the actual meta doesn't mean it's garbage.
