Why am I getting matched with diamonds and (a) master in my Nexus Blitz matches?

I've never done particularly well against this level of opposition. I wouldn't say I'm all that good at League, maybe gold at best. I'm definitely not diamond or master! I'm unranked though, and all I can guess is that the matchmaking system just doesn't know where to put me.

In many of my Nexus Blitz matches I'm outranked by a significant margin. At this rate I'll face a Challenger by February.

It's their first ( I assume) match in nexus blitz, and matchmaking takes into account of their mmr that belongs to the mode they're playing with. It doesn't take into the account of their mmr in other modes.

I mentioned in other posts before, I believe this is absurd. With that logic you can potentially have faker matched with irons and you can imagine the consequence for faker's opponents. Some performances (click per second, gold per second, damage taken/dealt per minute, ward placed/destroyed, etc) should be taken into consideration across the board of all modes. It can be extremely difficult, it can be hard to determine what stat should be considered and what shouldn't, but if that's done right it can diminish a lot of our pain.

Because all game-modes use different MMRs.

At least they use their mains. I have to face smurfs in EVERY SINGLE NORMAL GAME.

We like to play casual game modes too.
