Remove surrender vote

I really don't see why it's needed. If people don't want to play anymore, they should just quit the game instead of forcing a guaranteed loss on the entire team. At least remove it from ranked. Chances are if the team votes no that they'll just afk at the fountain and spam /ff anyway. It's completely useless and is the most trollable thing in the game until they added bard.

That's why it requires at least 4 votes for it to go through. 4 people voting yes isn't "forcing" anything. If 4 people are voting yes then obviously they're in some form of agreement that the match is over and doesn't need to continue.

Typical liberal poll, either a complete agree or a somewhat agree answer instead of having a poll option for disagree.

At most it forces a loss upon a single person, since it is a majority vote.

I agree

A stronger argument is this,

You can play a perfect game, do everything right, and your teammates can still surrender at 20 without you, and you will still lose lp.

actually this is pretty good logic.

If they quit the game, then no brains like you will report them for afk, and leaving.

I would gladly leave every game if it was going super bad if I could BUT nooooooooooooo i'd get reported if I do that.

So for those who want to FF, sadly they gotta waste their life playing another maybe 20 minutes for a lost cause cause typically if you're down by lots, you will lose more often than you can make a comeback and win. Funny, the last 3 games or so I played on Riven we were down almost by 10k gold, and came back to win... Just cause we were able to get the baron. The baron buff is such a big game changer, we were able to get it a 2nd time too.

So if you're able to get the baron, there is a chance to make a comeback.

Anyhow, off topic, sorry, keep the surrender vote, unless riot changes policies to let you quit without punishment, but that could be so annoying cause you can expect many people to just quit every match.

I realize the majority of league players are quitters and would rather go feed/afk/type essays at the fountain in a new game ASAP, but I as weak as you may feel the argument for removing the surrender vote may be, any argument for keeping it is weaker. I see literally no reason for a surrender vote to be in the game. If you're losing that badly that you want to give up, 5 more minutes of the team pushing down mid lane won't kill you. I don't understand why leaving the game/afk'ing is against the rules but the game basically gives you the option to force everyone to quit the game. Even if one team surrenders unanimously, that's 5 other people on the other team who may have wanted to play a little bit more of the game they were winning anyway. Instead they get booted without any choice. If you're going to have a trolly mechanic like a surrender vote, at least give the other team a chance to vote on whether they accept your surrender or give no quarter.

If anyone has a convincing argument for having a surrender vote mechanic in the game, I'm all ears.

Only if the surrender timer can get reduced to 10 minutes instead of 20 minutes for normals.

FacerollKatarina10/10/2015, 1:31:09 AM1 votes

Then we get the idiots farming kills for 30 minutes longer and not ending the game and you're stuck their wasting your time for a game that was over 20 minutes ago

What kind of poll is that?

You state a weak argument and the set up a dumb poll. At least I was entertained
