Report Feedback

I think seeing your report weight would let the community know they're using the report function properly and getting feedback would let a player know they're actually doing something for the community in their own small way and not wasting their time. Alternatively there could be a player standing similar to the honor system, except u lose standing if you get reported and u gain it back through being honored and long periods of not being reported. discuss.

So I've ran this idea past some people. I think that receiving feedback on how upstanding you are in the LoL community with a visible report weight and/or modified honor system based on how often you get reported would help the community improve standards of interaction. Obviously riot tried this with the honor system which now seems to be pretty much completely ignored.

Knowing some sort of report weight would encourage players to report bad behavior while deterring them from and teaching them about bad reports. This feedback system probably wouldn't work as well because of the inordinately long time-frames reports take to result in tribunal judgement, but maybe it could be faster/more useful for non-tribunal judgement.

The more promising aspect would be the player knowing where they stand as a community member. Riot's honor system depended on players rewarding each other, but i think it would be more effective if players kept values and lost them if they got reported for various behavior, going back up over time they don't get reported again. The current honor system could still be in place to reward spectacular players, but I feel the values should be more clearly displayed (multiple banners and/or values for each positive honor).

The problem still remains that if you know your reporting weight you can try and game the system because there's certainly those out that would want this info. This has been discussed before and Riot gave a long answer on the negative aspects of such a system outweighing the positives.

It would be nice to have some metric for at least knowing your report accuracy per se in relation to say the rest of the community at large. But to avoid giving any possible exploits make it a quarterly or bi yearly metric.

how about losing honor the more u get reported?
