Correct me if I'm wrong, but it feels like they're trying to change Garen's class
So, based on what Garen just got this patch:
- Courage
* Bonus resistances per kill increased to 0.33 from 0.25.
* Maximum bonus resistances increased to 50 from 30.
* Total unit kill required reduced to 150 from 160.
* Cooldown reduced to 23 / 19 / 15 seconds from 24 / 22 / 20.
- Active duration reduced to 2 / 3.5 / 5 seconds from 2 / 4 / 6.
and back in 8.9 in May of 2018:
- Courage
- Maximum bonus resistances increased to 40 from 30.
- Total unit kill required increased to 160 from 120.
That's two times his W has gotten changes within roughly a year, while everything else mostly remained untouched aside from some damage nerfs to his Q in Patch 8.17 which released in August of 2018. The changes being as follows :
- Decisive Strike
- Base damage reduced to 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 from 30 / 65 / 100 / 135 / 170.
Like I said in the title, correct me if I'm wrong, but it almost feels like Riot's trying to slowly change him from a Juggernaut into more of a Warden/Vanguard or Tank-type role.
What's my reasoning for this? Tanks are expected to build resistances, right? As in Armor and MR, the effectiveness (Or lack thereof depending on your point of view) I'm not going to get into here, but in an ideal world, that's probably what they're supposed to build, right? (Please don't get into arguments on "Armor and MR Suck" and so on and so forth, because that's NOT the point of my post.)
This is twice, within roughly a year where Garen has gotten changes to his RESISTANCES, while his DAMAGE mostly remained untouched, OR it was actually reduced (See above in the Patch 8.17 part). There are games where I've played Garen and after its done I'll check the "Damage Dealt" graphs and when comparing it to games where I've played other Juggernauts (Like 
or 
or someone else in the subclass) I'll find the damage I've dealt is rather sub-par compared to them.
I might be jumping to conclusions; I really could be, but the way in which this has occurred can't help me from raising an eyebrow and start to wonder.
So I guess I'll end this post with a request to Riot:
#DON'T CHANGE GAREN INTO A DIFFERENT CLASS. PLEASE KEEP HIM A JUGGERNAUT!
He's one of the champs I fell in love with when I first started playing WAY BACK WHEN in 2012 or so! I've loved all his good times, and soldiered through his bad ones, and back in Season 5, I loved the fact that he was one of the champions to be eligible to be called a "Juggernaut" when the Juggernaut Update released, and Juggernauts have become my absolute favorite class/subclass in the game (Anyone who read my "Juggernaut Club" series of stories can attest to that)! So once again:
#PLEASE, RIOT, DON'T CHANGE GAREN'S CLASS!
