What would people like to see in a Warwick Rework?

I want to hear peoples suggestions on what they would do to Warwicks kit if they could rework him.

I'm an avid jungle Warwick and sometimes top lane when the situation arises (looking at you last second jungle troll pickers).

Warwick is in a decent spot this season with devourer making him a squishies nightmare. Warwicks pre-lvl 6 is a farm fest and you hardly see one out before then. This is due to a combination of lack of items, initiation and gap-closing abilities. Warwick is one of those league champions that has aged very well over the years due to his flat % steroid of abilities. However, as much as I enjoying playing him, his game play is linear and very boring.

If I were to rework Warwick, I would revamp his passive, W, and E. Before gutting him, I would preserve the few things that I identify Warwick as Warwick and these are:

  1. Being a wolf-man
  2. His suppress (first one to the party)
  3. Low health true vision
  4. Innate sustain

His current kit:

  • For me the biggest problem with Warwicks kit is his E. It provides no power except for a movement speed buff that is very underwhelming. The true vision is fantastic and is the most interactive part of his kit it should remain there as a fresh passive or on an improved E. Some people find the toggle part useful, but personally I never toggle E off unless I fat finger it by accident.

  • My next issue is with his W. I always get W first when jungling but max it last. Going with the devourer and BOTRK build I usually have enough attack speed to out trade anyone 1v1, so by late game its used for teamfights and turret taking primarily or the frequent "oh its off cooldown might as well click it 35 mana pffft". I'd be happy with a brand new W.

  • Lastly the passive ability. I hardly notice the passive during actual game play, and it provides little sustain until maxed or paired with a devourer. The innate sustain is great, but when it gets good I already have a BOTRK and a maxed Q and my sustain needs already met. I'd be really happy with his old E being his new passive, or something completely different.

  • I could argue that Warwicks Q and Ultimate are what made him age well and would not change these at all. The balance on these abilities are on point albeit the mana costs, but still good.

-Make E his passive -Make old passive a passive on W and give it scaling -Turn new E into a defensive ability preferably, with a slow of some kind attached -Make Q a modified autoattack so it can proc Spellblade -Keep ult suppression, but make it actually dangerous, as in, Spellblade procs (first hit), on hit effects, and an AD ratio bigger than what it currently has

This would make him more relevant while also heavily expanding build possibilities. Tankwick, Magewick, Critwick, Onhitwick, all viable.

Warwick has a ton of problems right now. Heavily mana gated, heavily cooldown gated, kited to infinity, E is never up, and his ult is almost used entirely for the CC-- it barely works as an execute, etc.

His E is actually super strong.

As long as he has suppression, I don't care.

Suppression is one of the number one ways to deal with any OP champ.

with his Q i would like it to maybe be like a quick slash forward that slows rather than a stationary swipe. I would like his E to do more than what it does (cant think of anything special) and with his ult being occasionally buggy and overall pretty useless it needs to change 100%. With his W im pretty content with what it does.
