Ap thresh support, is it toxic?

It's my favorite support role to play next to lee sin support, for my elo its pretty easy to be successful with but... is picking a common tanky support and building full ap toxic even if you win lane? Allowing your adc to die every once in a while because you have 9 glory stacks... not commiting to fights because you know if you go all in your gonna die...telling your team to protect you as the bot lane carry because tristana has flamed you all game for not taking the blitz pulls for her???

Anyways... I enjoy it and if lee gets banned or picked expect to see my 25item 3041 item 3285 item 3157 item 3158 item 3026 "support" Thresh

When i see a squishy support i always target them first lol, its just better that way. Especially if mejais is involved.

The problem is that anything AP Thresh can do, Blitzcrank can do better. Especially after they destroyed the damage on Thresh's ult so it only hurts once.
