Pantheon Support > Braum?

I was just checking out the pantheon rework on PBE, and I think his kit would actually be kinda busted in the support role. He has long range poke with his Q, point and click stun to set up plays on his W, his E blocks EVERYTHING, damage and all, and even stops projectiles like Fiddle E making it good to protect your ADC with, and his ultimate will make him a useful roamer.

I'm comparing him with Braum, as they seem quite similar imo. Braum Q is shorter range and slower and less damage (except early on), but in return it gives a guaranteed slow and it's wider. Panth Q is longer range and faster, but slightly thinner and only slows on empowered one. W provides Braum with more utility and a bit more mobility, but panth W sets up plays, does a bit of damage, and stuns targets. E is essentially the same, but pantheon just moves a bit slower while moving sideways and backwards, but in return he does damage while holding his shield AND it blocks ALL incoming damage, not just reducing it. His empowered E lasts just as long as Braum E, and I the width of it is larger too. The only advantage Braum has to Pantheon imo is being tankier by build, and providing more CC with ultimate and passive. Pantheon does a lot more damage, however, and is like a pyke but with more utility.

Would pantheon support be viable? Even now, although rare, I see pantheon supports as well, just because he does insane poke and point and click stun, as well as being able to tower dive and set up kills for ADC. But now it's 10x better, with longer range poke and an even stronger Braum E. Just curious if anyone else came to the conclusion on if he can be played support/actually tried it out on pbe (I played panth but not support).

Current pantheon is a better support than braum as well

There are a few key differences though.

New Panth passive will be much harder to get considering he is not last hitting minions. This means his Q slows less often than Braum Q.

Braum Passive is much better for his adc, as the stun is a piece of cake to get with 2 champs, and can be applied to 2 targets. Panth stun is shorter and forces him to engage, where Braum stun can be applied from range.

Panth doesn’t have an escape like Braum, and Braum can give his ADC a defensive steroid with his leap.

Panth’s e also doesn’t block basic attacks that aren’t targeted on him. The enemy ADC can just ignore him while focusing on your ADC. Braum forcefully blocks all projectiles, and can even dash to your ally with his W in the time of need.

Braum ult is better than Panth’s in the sense that he requires no channel time, can be used for initiation or disengage and provides CC.

While Panth has some traits of Braum (Poke, a dash and a stun, directional damage blocking), Braum is much better suited for 2v2’s, while Panth is better in solo lanes.

Edit: Piercing projectiles go through Panth, as well as CC. Does nothing to stop a Varus Q from sniping a low health ally.

Can confirm pantheon support is hella strong. Engages harder than Braum but for a shorter period. More damage. Can easily take more than 50% of your HP in one combo with ignite, leaving you easy prey for a prepared ADC.

Yo I thought of the same thing with Pantheon Shield as a Braum Shield, It looks like i could play pantheon support as something like Braum Shield/Galio ult engage
