Maokai Ult Change

Hi. I've been playing a lot of Maokai, and I really like him. There is just one thing I dislike, and it's his ult. Now don't get me wrong, it feels cool and all, but the 20% damage reduction to all friendly members inside of it, is very badly communicated to the player, I dont have a chance to know how good my ult really was. So I was wondering if it would be possible to show how much damage you have blocked through out the game, on the ult? Something similar the 'Bond of Stone' mastery or Veigar's Q stacking. Something along those lines. :)
