I never argued against suggesting tips/strategies to teammates, I believe everyone on a team should have their input (yes), but when people do certain things that constantly end in failure, it pains me to see they repeat the same strategy over and over again.
For example, team fighting when behind.
In the game before this post, our team was so terribly behind and our jungle just grabbed everyone's attention, rallying them on, telling them to team fight, we had no objectives nor were we ahead in kills. I told them we should not team fight rather, hold what position we can, farm and try to contest dragons when possible.
I was the first person on the team to get a tower in my lane, at that point I have two choices, to roam and help or to keep pushing, I couldn't help the team because, at that time, my adc is 0/6 with smite (She took smite because Jungle didn't appear to be taking smite), their ADC is 6/1, their mid is 13/4 as Morgana vs our 4/9 Riven.
Now, I have no problem with someone dying a lot, especially when it's due to skill difference, however when it's down to repeating something over and over again that's where I have a problem. Our Jungler, was constantly trying to fight and ended up going 6/12, and still trying to rally the team for team fights, whereas I want them to try to defend whatever we can and farm into the game. We had no dragons, they had 3 and we were terribly underpowered but she's spamming chat as to why we should teamfight.
At the end of the day, she's 6/12 and has 35 cs to Shyvanna's 6/3 with 142 cs in a 30 minute game.
The point of the original post was to, shot calling if your calls are clearly not working not whether or not I can offer suggestions (I do). You don't have to do well in a game to shotcall, if you know what you're doing and the team sees that, they'll follow you. However, my point is, when you repeat the same failure over and over + you're not doing so hot, I'm saying you should not shot call.
