Anyone else ever felt lost playing champions?
Playing your main champ but it doesn't have any effect on the game in the meta.
Playing a champion because it's good but you don't like it.
Playing your main but after some nerfs/buffs it loses it charm?

There is nothing else to say...
There is something to say.
SHURIMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE ORDER IS GIVEN!!!
Actually, can I add a medium chocolate shake to that, too?
THE ORDER HAS ALREADY BEEN GIVEN! YOU GET NOTHING ELSE!
Stares longingly at the chocolate shake on the menu, tears filling his eyes. Sadness turns to hot anger, and he glares at the impudent cashier bird.
"I'd like to speak with your manager. I have several complaints regarding the quality of the customer service here."
This, good sir/madam, is my first main.
He was the very first champion I bought, from the moment I first saw him in the rotation as a level 5 noob. I tried him out in a custom game, and was instantly hooked. I loved his visuals, voice, theme, and gameplay. From there I started looking up videos of him, and I found Riot's teasers and login for him. I joined in Season 6, so I wasn't there for his release.
Well the epicness washed over me, and from there I would grind games, spamming him whenever he got on the rotation, loving to play as him throughout the desolate wastes of blind pick. Facing the Yasuos and the Zeds with gusto. With my new main, my friend, I could never get tilted. I practically learned the game on him. I played every day, several hours, and grinded to lvl 30 with almost nobody but him.
Eventually I grinded the IP to buy him, and from there I was a dedicated main. I swapped my summoner icon to the starter one with the pyramid because it was the closest thing I could get to something Shurima at the time, I would spend hours in MobaFire and LolKing, devouring all the current guides for him. I would grind out games to buy runes. Runes just for him. CDR, MPen, AP, MS quints, iirc. I would pour time into his masteries, tweaking every single mastery by hand, seeing how it affected his gameplay.
I put his animated login as a wallpaper for my phone, I had him as my desktop background. I would breath and think nothing but the glorious emperor of Shurima.
Then the first Season 6 Azir nerfs happened.
I was distraut at first, I couldn't understand why he was being nerfed; nobody played him. For you see, in my zealous quest for obtaining knowledge of Azir, I had neglected to find out his patch history. I had no idea he was an LCS top pick since he was released, I was too low ELO to know about the expert Azirs that could stomp anyone with no problem.
It took a bit, but I accepted these nerfs as necessary when I found out why he was being nerfed. But then the meta shifted. Games got shorter, damage got higher, Azir got nerfed again. This time it was his damage.
It became harder to play him. He quickly became useless in the 15 minute games I would play. I would get flamed for even picking him. After the ult nerfs, he felt like an empty shell of a champion, the grand emperor I first knew.
I put him down, so close to obtaining Mastery 6.
I still get him sometimes in ARAM. I stomp with him because of muscle memory and the enclosed spaces of the Howling Abyss. He is still borderline useless in SR however, and it hurts.
I still remember how he used to be. I still remember my Emperor.
If you really enjoy playing him, then you should stick to him.
He literally just stated why he doesn't do that
It basically boils down to "He's weak now". Which frankly - is true. Azir currently requires a lot more effort than other champs in order to do decently. At the same time, I believe that if he really likes playing him then putting that extra effort is worth it.
That said, if he cares more about winning than playing Azir, then he probably should find a different main. I myself, care much more for playing my main than winning.
I know your pain, Azir is my second (see the resemblence with Zyra?) and I dropped him, too, after the ult nerfs, but to be honest, the last buffs he got felt really good and I was playing him fairly often after that and gained Mastery 7, but I didn't touch him for over a month now however for some reason...

So one must be
and the other one either
or
and I'd guess Syndra's the one.
Lux is one.
The Ionian one, nope! Remmeber that I said that one wasn't exactly human.
Oh right, I forgot - please, tell me it's Soraka and not the other one, I'm already judging you for the light bitch xD
Yes. It's Soraka.
I find them both cute, and it's their personalities that win me over. I like nice/friendly girls. ;_;
Yep, that laugh is really friendly and so are her hypocritic fashistic demacian beliefs xD But well I hate Lux mostly because of her playstyle, in the lore she just walks by me only to be a potential meal for the last Stranglethorns... [slayer-jinx-wink]
Well gee, at least you spared Raka your tearing words.
More seriously though, I realize Lux's a pain to face for a Zyra mid.
I just hate the land Q -> they ded pattern and one ability + AA TLD proc, tbh pretty unhealthy to me xD
And I would say the same about every demacian champion maybe except Fiora, even Lucian goes against my pro-undead views xD
To be honest, I think most people wouldn't be surprised if Fiora deserted for Noxus.
Yeah? Well Riven should leave Noxus for Demacia.
Well, she already left Noxus (good riddance), and she'd fit in perfectly with the Demacian cowards. It sounds like a pretty good trade to me.

Oh ho ho, that is it.
When the new Galio comes out 1v1 me m8!
A battle of titans!
You're on, bro! I will "Leave no stone unbroken!"
Yeah! Down with Demacia and their lying, oppressive ways!
Let's all give ourselves to the death - Never tire, never hunger, never fear...

I still remember how he used to be. I still remember my Emperor.
I remember when Azir was first released. He was a pain to lane against because of his "Soldiers charge" ability(whatever the name actually is) and actual range of the soldiers had little counterplay. Dash/blink abilities where next to useless because of his kit. There was just nothing you could do against him. Not only that but he gained considerable CDR as well. Allowing him to spam soldiers and Q. Those nerfs where well deserved tbh for he traded nothing for his safe laning and damn good stats and base damage. :P
I always feel lost when I play
. She was my second champion and I loved everything about her, now I just can't play her anymore. Her kit is boring, uninteractive and way too corny. A champion with such a beautiful theme should be way better... she's so wasted.
I concur. Sona has always been my favorite character, but I haven't been able to play her ever since patch 4.13
you can only hope that riot finally talks about her in 2019
Imo they will probably do an enchanter update this year or next year since most of them are just shields-bot/heals-bot and they are pretty hard to balance too (
).
i've given up in playing Sona, Janna, and Soraka because they aren't fun, Half of the time I feel like im playing a role just because I have to even though I wanted to pick support. They are very beneficial to the team but they don't feel good to play.
Happened to me twice
:
My first serious main who I would spam play and stomp on people every game.
I remember one game I went 1/5 and was really upset since I usually went 20/5
I started to get a little bored of akali, and she was kinda ignored by Riot ever since they nerfed her E by making it no longer proc her Q
By the time tank Akali was around I just got upset whenever I played akali since she just felt bad to build damage on since you couldn't even one shot an adc anymore since her Q travel time was just too slow, and there were other assassins who could just do it better. I stopped playing her a little bit before tank akali, and it was about mid-late season 5.
:
Another Assassin who I used to absolutely LOVE
She fit better than Akali since her jump was instant and she had even better resets
I love getting really fed and being 10/1 at 8 minutes and being able to run down bot lane and get a triple kill and solo carrying the game by just being able to do one or two combo
Her resets made her so much fun that she never got old
Then came her rework
I thought it wasn't going to change much, but BOY was I wrong
She could one shot easier by doing EWQER on an enemy, and that combo is just wayyyyyy too strong
Lists of things I hate about new kata

- Her new sounds make her feel like a new champion
- Her Q damage is trash
- Her Q doesn't ally a mark anymore, and can't be used to waveclear without the dagger it places
- The Dagger system is just stupid
- Her W is basically a less fun version of her old W, not because you have to wait, but because of how it just removes the skill from it
- The ability to E to any side of a target is cool, but gives less counterplay
- Being able to E every 2 seconds is complete cancer
- She can still get pentakills, but they kinda killed the pentaqueen feel of her
- Riot actual made those people who said "press R in teamfights" correct since you can literally EWR onto their backline now and obliterate them, while in the past you had to actually use all your ablilities and get resets properly
- Why did they add more damage on her ult
- All her damage is now AoE, where it was more balanced with her W dealing less damage, but having more Q damage So I am currently in the process of playing katarina less and less, and only really play her sometimes because she is broken, and not because I enjoy it
I was talking about that the other day, the new Kat is total cancer, everytime she uses her E to a dagger she gets a free burst.
Before CD was on kills, now? Why not, make her more "interactive"
FINALLY someone who agrees with me Riot calls her "one of their best reworks", while I think she is now designed terribly since she has so much power on one skill My dream is to have her rework be reverted like they did with Kog
Do you want to know why Riot thinks Katarina is one of the "best" reworks?
Scarra.
A pro player, who mains Katarina, enjoyed the rework. That was the only green light they could ever need.
but I've been forced to get used to the feeling of not being able to kill my lane opponent.
doesn't feel like a bully anymore. Top lane as a whole isn't super impactful
got shot out of mid, unfortunatly
still play him sometimes, but he's not as fun as he used to be
's bad in the meta right now. She's actually never good. For all the complexity in the tentacles mechanic, she's extremely binary.
maybe who knows. IDK if Ill maintain the same Winrate as earlier with his pre-rework
doesn't seem super effective. More APs in the meta, and rammus just seems better.
no idea why, he got boring
the 100% crit build doesn't cut it in norms anymore
I don't like the rework
I don't like the rework
I don't like the rework
The reworks are great for balancewise and game health, but they made them lose their flare.
the entire fighter class and some tanks and tank supports. most reworks too.
i miss the old effect a true duelist item
used to be a twitch-counter assassin mage. You either kill or get killed, in an instant. Like annie except squishy as hell and that much more epic.
Then they reworked him. Then they buffed him. And Riot said, "look he's doing fine now"
but he simply was never the same again...
Then people saw him as strong and actually hard flamed me for not liking new Veigar. "OmG you are so fucking dumb new Veigar is good and strong and if you don't like him you're a fucking bronze shithead" Fuck me for liking a specific aspect of my main champions, amirite? But yeah, if you like playing the ultimate wussy-lord, new Veigar will be right up your alley.
Heimerdinger, Teemo. Insulting people is so fun. However they are not playable anymore.

ye man
No one else seems to quite cut it

I really did try for the past year since the MYMU, but no one gives me the feeling of creating art like Malzie did... and now he feels like a procedure to follow
I have no idea what you're talking about.
Although I did stop playing her once she lost her stun until her mini-rework.
I don't think i can ever get tired of playing
. She's literally the only reason i still play this game. Not that i don't really like other champs like
, but all of them together can't keep me interested like
can all by herself. She is getting a rework though and it will determine whether i uninstall this game or not lol
Ironically, while Riot was trying to increase diversity and freedom of choice, it backfired and destroyed it.
I used to enjoy the healer supports but now it's a struggle with the ap mid "support" meta imo
Originally mained Darius after Juggernaut update i didnt like it as much
Then Ahri, after removal of DFG and charm increase dmg, i didnt like it. Plus the speed up on Q made her feel brain dead.
Then believe it or not I mained AP Caitlyn, most fun i have ever had playing league of legends. but then the ADC update came around and killed that for good.
Look at me now, I main support cause no one ever gets changed down here.
All the time

If you lose your "charm" after playing some games with your "main" your main wasant actually your main in the first place.
