A build that's gaining some popularity nowadays is tank Yasuo. The build consists of Phantom Dancer, Trinity Force and just building full tank afterwards.
I feel like, similarly to bruiser Fizz and tank Ekko, it lets Yasuo keep all of his strengths and cover up his weaknesses. Yasuo's supposed to be a squishy fighter with a lot of damage and mobility, this build lets him to that while also being really hard to kill.
It isn't really that different from a normal Yasuo build in the past.

well grasp of the undying and tank meta forces champions who are now horrible on their intended role to pick up the broken items. Fix itemization and tank ekko and yasuo wouldnt happen. Sunfire is legit broken on everything right now, phantom dancer is perfect for 1 v 1 situations. There is simply too valuable protection in this game that makes playing squishies high risk low reward champions and thats why you dont see them a lot (except when they are totally overtuned). I mean even graves and quinn go steraks and deathsdance/maw to get tanky as hell. Riot fucked up itemization pretty hard and instead of fokusing on getting balance back they release a "mage update" with several new items that seem too strong. Riots decisions in this season are horrible.
Umm, tank Yasuo has weaknesses, a lot of them. Lack of cc, lacks team fighting strength, terrible laning phase vs other meta top laners, and is mostly physical damage. Strengths, splitpushing, dueling, wombo combo potential.
Tank yasuo practically heals the enemy with the negative damage he does.
