I absolutely adore Fiddlesticks new passive.
So, while everyone else is talking about how broken Malzahar is and how much clunkier/weaker Viktor, Vladimir and Anivia feel, I wanted to bring up Fiddlestick's new passive.
I absolutely love it.
First off, it turns his weaker Abyssal Scepter passive into a neat little mechanic. Standing still like a scarecrow only to jumpscare people and give them night terrors makes a lot of sense for Fiddlesticks thematically and it makes me feel like a badass.
I believe losing a bit of damage for a bit of help with his ganks was definitely a good trade, you can reach over 400 ms+ at very low levels, which helps out a ton with his Terrify's positioning.
The passive also doesn't change the way you act and is very easy to get used to, seeing as Fiddlesticks, you're gonna be spending a lot of your time standing behind a wall and waiting for your enemies to position perfectly.
Also, the passive makes a crow sound every time it goes off.
Despite a lot of people finding a lot of stuff in this update a bit underwhelming, I think that Fiddlesticks' new passive is definitely a good thing that came out of it.
right after I ult to keep the enemy team from insta killing me with burst damage. his ult is best used in the middle of a team for max damage so if you don't wanna get deleted that's usually the way to go. so how exactly is that movement speed going to help?? on top of that his main damage comes from his drain ability....which he has to stand still for.....sure if they get out of his tether you can catch up faster to throw that crow for a hopeful last hit but still. when you consider the plethora of really impressive passives out there this one is just pathetic. especially when you remember his old passive, you know? the first one he had?? the one that lowered magic resist of the ENTIRE enemy team, not just the person he is targeting. I have been playing since season one and fiddls was the first champ I was really good with. in the last few seasons he has really fallen off though, to the point that I really don't play him much anymore. I would really love to see him back to his former glory. (I used to play him in every lane. I could do anything but adc with fiddle...not so much anymore...) judging by this passive though I doubt that he ever will be the fear inspiring presence he once was....
on a side note I do agree with what blind trooper said about his ult. that has been a problem forever. every other champ I can think of who has an ult that can be interrupted will have a dramatically lowered cooldown if they are interrupted. (Caitlyn and Tham kench for example) not fiddles though. if he gets cc while channeling its a full cool down for him. that is something that should have been fixed a long time ago in my opinion. come on riot, give fiddles some love please. he's only one of the first champs ever made......[zombie-nunu-tears]
