WARDS!!! & Their Importance in the Rift
Why your entire team benefits from your warding in the video link provided....Now on to why I'm making a post about this,to start us off since riot has done me a kind thing an started to show our vision stats at the end of the game I've noticed more and more that I tend to be the only person on my team warding with the most wards placed while they might not see any action and score me vision points out of the rest of my team whom I see have only placed at most 7 wards in a 30min game while I have managed at least 13 minimum and the second highest person warding is the Supp
Everyone else I have seen is what I refer to as a Collector (someone who hoards things that stack aka ward stacks in this case) those people are the Bad collectors I prefer to refer to people as a Collector when they are playing vegiar with a Darkseal....
Anyway those Collectors usually have either place 1 or no wards at all in a 30min time period now when you break that down wards have a 180s CD minimum lowering to 90s at level 18 and start off only lasting 60 seconds working there way up to a 120s lasting time lasting longer then they take to restore them selves you can carry a maximum of 2 so doing the math for a lvl 1 ward trinket in a 30min match you would have 1,800 seconds if you placed a ward every time your 180 second cooldown was up you would have placed 10 wards which would equal 600 seconds of vision for your team and that's just doing it with the basic lvl 1 numbers
Now we go to say 10mins after you have hit 18 that's 10mins that your warding trinket has had it's maximum CD and place time you'd be able to place 6 wards within that 10min time frame that would be about 5 wards total if non of them gets destroyed leaving you with one extra ward with a max of 3 on the rift at all times during that 10min time frame....which would equal less surprise Ganks less objectives lost and more control over the rift with a 5 man team that's 600 seconds of vision top side within the jng fully covering bot lane because two people with wards and vision in at least one side of mid for 600 seconds....
Which if you didn't know 600seconds is 10mins on the rift that's about the time Rift herald spawns into the map if you have control of the map by 10mins guess what you will probly get that wrecking ball known as the Rift herald to help you on any of your lagging lanes or just to help you shove a lane further into the enemy base so you can win
Warding is the simplest way to help your teammates that you can do with a press of a button and a click of your mouse simpler then landing that thresh hook on the enemy adc so you can pull them in and get your adc a kill and adc's warding for your supp's allows them to get you those kills giving them more time to work on that right engage moment that they saw because they weren't worried about warding the river in fear of an enemy Jng ganking you both
It also helps your Jungle and top laner take advantage of a shoved in lane by giving them some vision of an easy gank onto your lane allowing the top lane to Teleport into your lane while your Jungle roams around the back side and cuts off the enemy and Gank the Caitlyn and Bard that have been harassing you for the last 2mins because they backed and currently have more items then you while you are carrying all that gold from farming while they were gone and can't back or you will lose your tower...
