Cool Idea For Summoner Icons?

Instead of just having a summoner icon in the top right could the summoner icon make changes to the client and/or profile. An update to the clients theme through summoner icons could add more value to having summoner icons. Personally i think buying summoner icons is stupid because it really doesn't add much for me but if they changed the way the client looked it could bring in more sales.

Well these would have to be like special, expensive ones. Summoner icons cost very little RP, so it's cool to just have a cool little thing. But it would take a lot of time and effort for Riot to make it change the client and stuff, so it would have to cost proportionally more.
