How long does it take to rank up?

I have been playing league for I think a year and a half now and never really got into ranked. But very recently i have been trying it out. Last year i was placed in Silver 4 and did not play much ranked, i believe i was relegated down to silver 5 and ended the season at that, this year i got placed in bronze 2 and stayed there for awhile, I played a little bit of ranked during the school year and got myself to silver 5. During the past 5 days i have been playing alot of ranked and have went 10-1 and I am now silver 2. Is going from Silver 5 to Silver 2 in 5 days quick or slow?

I am would consider myself very knew to ranked and I am just wondering how long it takes to rank up. My friend has over 150 ranked wins but hes in silver 3, but then again another friend went from silver 3 to gold 3 in 2 weeks with i think 50 ranked wins (I think).

How long did it take you guys to reach your current ranked? Thank you and have fun in the good old league of legends/

Honestly, it varries player to player how long it takes to get to a certain rank. It sounds like you should be hitting Gold just fine before end of season. Top-tier players get from Bronze to Plat in as few a week or two of playing, others, like me, take months to get from Silver 5 to Silver 3. It's all about you. On the whole, you're moving pretty fast.

You are moving at a very fast rate. You'll eventually slow down once you reach your skill-cap. I placed in Silver 3 my first season and got to Gold V within 20 games after placements. However, this season I placed in Gold 3 and went to Plat 1 within a few months.. After reaching Plat 1 96 LP I started to "tilt" and I found myself at Plat 3 97 LP now. So.. over the period of 1 month (May-Present) I've went DOWN 2 Tiers.

Overall, you're doing really well and moving at an excellent rate. :D
