How to get out of Silver/ How to rank up to Diamond?

My account was in silver 4 after my provisional games. This is my first season and I was pleased with myself. However I find myself losing almost all my ranked games. So I just gone to my smurf account and get that to level 30, because i thought I was just mechanically bad. I just wonder why am I losing all my games, at first, I saw my loses coming, I was picking champs that I had little experience on and ending up with loses.

But now I use champs I understand and I pick champs in hopes it counters my enemy but my team always screws up. I know im doing everything I can do but how can I win my games? I was relegated from silver 4 and am currently silver 5. I feel that my other teammates in my rank will keep me from rising. I truly believe I belong in a much higher rank, mabye plat.

How long will it take to climb out of silver? how many games will it take?

I started playing league before All Stars 2014 and since I saw the tournament I was hooked, so i guess i should be expecting this? Is it rare for a player with my time to end up above silver? Is it because I have not played enough games? I believe i have mabye 60 games on ranked and its 50/50 in terms of w/L. But i believe I have over 400 games within all my accounts. I keep feeling that im just bad so I just play on my smurf accounts, they are all 18+ (18,18,29,30), i have 4 accounts in total.

They are resetting the ladder tomorrow I believe and but what i read i think im gonna be placed in bronze. I understand i may have confused you guys with too much reading, but to sum it up. How do I rank up to higher elo? My ultimate goal is to get to Diamond. btw this is my first forum post EVER.

I've played this game for nearly 5 years now (Only actively tried to improve for the past year or so) and I just hit D5 for the first time 2 weeks ago. Getting the knowledge and mechanics to even be a low diamond player is something that takes allot of patience and practice. Every time you die you need to think about how you could have prevented that death. I don't mean any offense but I can promise you that you are not a plat level player stuck in silver 5. Any plat I know would be able to maintain a 80%+ win rate in silver. Instead of blaming your teams you need to figure out the mistakes you are making and fix them. Watch replays, watch streams, try to play with people higher ELO than you and see what they are doing. Be patient improvement takes time.

i don't think you'll get to diamond without some serious improvements, or a lot more game knowledge. you don't really have the experience to play at such a high level unless you are just genuinely mechanically strong, but since you dont win in silver, i'd just try aiming for gold, and if you make it to gold, try for plat, don't expect to jump up like 3 tiers just by playing, you have to watch for your mistakes and think of ways to improve, look up gbay99 on youtube he has helpful information

It is vastly more likely that you are making mistakes that you're not aware of, and those mistakes are preventing you from covering for your teammates' mistakes.

It's not impossible. Statistical anomalies happen. Bad luck happens. However, you're quite unlikely to be correct here. It is vastly more likely that you are making mistakes that you're not aware of, and those mistakes are preventing you from covering for your teammates' mistakes.

That really depends on win rate. As an approximation, I would say you will need to win about 25 more games than you lose to move from silver 5 to gold 5.

It's a process of finding and plugging leaks in your game. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. You will get better advice if you ask a player you respect to observe and comment on your play.

Since I don't know anything about your game, let me just say that in general, weaker players make three big picture mistakes:

Die -- Look to average 4 or fewer deaths per game. You die, your fault. Strong players find ways to stay in the fight as long as possible, then escape on 5% health.
Miss opportunities to CS -- 100 CS at 15 minutes is pretty much required for any solo laner to do well, and you have to find time to farm as the game goes on.
Fail to convert kills into objectives -- The main thing you get out of kills is time where your team has map control. A kill is worth like 20 CS. A kill and a tower is worth like 70 CS. Best case scenario, you create a double kill bot, take the bot tower, and take the dragon; that single sequence takes what was a level game and makes it a stomp.

Yeah a plat player could carry a silver game as ap renekton. Matchmaking is pretty fair. To climb all you have to do is stop looking at what your teamates are doing wrong and look at what you did wrong. Even if it is directly related to uour teammates. For example say you have an instalock riven who feeds 10 kills to plat ap renekton. And then ap renekton ganks you while your killing your lane opponent. Instead of saying wow that riven lost to ap renekton, what a scrub. You could think of it like, wow i should have warded because renekton was mia.
