Kindred Something tells me Riot is about to nerf a champion I've put a lot of hours into. Kindred ****No longer grants Lamb bonus % current health damage on her basic attacks **** The rest of the changes are OK at best. The Q change is the nicest thing that they have done. I'm not sure if they have looked at kindred's base movement speed. It's quite low compared to the rest of the high tier junglers right now. at one point there was a build to use summoner 6 & rush item 3117 for a lot of early game pressure. Then of course the summoner was nerfed so we all went back to summoner 4 .Then we have the Q which scales down to 2 seconds instead of it being 2 seconds at all levels which is fine. Maybe we can revert the W healing passive? Or revert the armor nerf they did randomly at one point.

Wolf now deals magic damage instead of physical damage This forces us to build item 3091 .. not that I have a problem with the item but, I just don't see wolf doing much more in team fights now.

Now I still have a problem with the marks. Champions marked. Jungle mobs marked. I think Kindred still has a invading problem/ early mark problem because people will 3 man you early game to set you back a lot. In my opinion Kindred's marks should only show up on the map if the other person with summoner 11 can see it. As well as the champion marked should be the only person who can see it. It would force players to communicate more and play around it. Instead of just simply pinging because you can see these things on the map or it changing on the model.

Some of these changes are a step in the right direction. Most of them are terrible because Riot has no idea how the people play this champion in the real game and, may I say we get 1 shotted but we like to play super aggressive as well. I really hope riot takes another step in does more research. I guess I'll have to see how the changes due in the PBE.

The most unfortunate part about Kindred and thei state of their kit is the fact Kindred is made unbalanceable around the fact that Lamb deals bonus % current health damage on her basic attacks.

With a mechanic like that there was just never a hope o f them being in a healthy state. As unfortunate as it is to remove this mechanic that was previously part of their core, it was the one element of their gameplay that was holding them back.

People wanted Kindred to be relevant early-game, as effectively all Junglers need to be in some way. But with a mechanic that distorts a champions late game power to catastrophic levels, that was just never a plausible fantasy.

I'm 100% sure there are some Kindred mains who love the state their champion is currently in, but unfortunately as things go I don't think it's healthy for the champion to remain this way, or at least it didn't allow the champion to be made into a viable pick effectively ever.
