I think a rioter announced this a while back they later said that they will implement it but not right away. did the idea get lost somewhere? the problem of blue essence and champion shards (or permanent) is quite annoying and many posts concerning that have gotten to the top of the front page already...

sheldonbunny2 votesChampion shards will be able to be purchased for an estimated 1700 ip each. They can be broken down into blue essence. As stated it's on the PBE right now and scheduled to go on live next patch. So roughly 2 weeks or so.
