I used to do it both ways: I would have flash on D while laning but I also used D for smite so I would have flash on F when I jungled.

I find flash on D easier because I played a lot of WASD games before League, so my left hand is naturally in that position for the most part. This makes reaching flash instant instead of having to move my index finger to the F key.

flash on D makes it so easy to just instantly use it since R is my resting finger spot i can always reach D from R easily
