Pro play vs Amateur play

Hey so I was reading through the recent comments posted on the patch 5.17 and I saw a lot of people complaining that nerds and buffs are being made based off of pro play. I guess my question is why doesn't league have an approach to the game and the esports aspect as athletic sports do. Throughout the different levels of play there are different rules (college football vs NFL, NBA vs college ball...etc) where the rules make it competitive and fair for thag level of play. Why doesn't league have patches that effect just pro play or the esports? I imagine this is very difficult to implement because where would these patches be implemented in solo que or ranked teams and how would the pro players be able to practice these separate patches. To approach these problems maybe they could bunch divisions together to use certain patches , for example Diamond 5 and up will use pro patches. These will be patches that level play for pros (yes I know not everyone would be pro but it is a parameter we have to set). At this junction I am torn as to let the rest have their own patch but that would mean plats can't duo with Diamond (since yiu wouldn't be able to play with pro patches while in amateur patches) ***or you play on patch based on highest elo in the que. **** or we make Plat the transition division and allow it to have its own champion patches while bronze to gold are bunched together. For the patches to be implemented everyone would get them updated but when you are in que your division will tell the gsme what stats and updates are whay champ. Writing this out I can see how bad of an idea it is. Simplified I'm sure they could make it by making pro players have their own patches for lcs and such. And they have servers to practice on that implement these patches so they can practice for matches. Now for those that might question what about playefs that are going to get on the pro scene. Well they will adapt or bust. Just like when we see athletes unable to transition to the next level. Idk what do yiu guys think?

Tl;Dr different patches for bunched divisions and pro play.

It sounds good, and I've thought about this too. But then you segregate people and the game we play wouldn't be the same as professionals. Making it so that people who are climbing would have to learn different strengths and weaknesses as they went up certain tiers. So lets say you were great through Bronze-Plat on X champions, then get to Diamond and those champions have been nerfed and are useless. It just wouldn't work. The reason why they base it around the professional players is because they can exploit the champions strengths to their fullest, where at lower elo's, even somebody who is mediocre with the champion can absolutely destroy. Like Garen, he's a menace in my elo (Silver 2), but in higher divisions he still isn't played in favor of champions like Gangplank, etc. He's far less terrifying than he is at lower because they know how to play around his weaknesses rather than focus on his strengths.

I mean, making changes based on pro play seems really good imo, since pro players are usually of equal skill level and you cant make biased decisions about gameplay from that. I just cant see riot wanting to base buffs/nerfs on bronze players complaining about lee sin and thresh.
