Patch 9.2 didn't address enough damage concerns, including Conqueror

You still die incredibly quickly, it only takes one or two "extended" trades for people to die, lethality hasn't been touched, turrets still give too much gold and accelerate the game. Conqueror still does true damage, why can't you just make it give adaptive force or something so we can actually build against it?

Honestly, Riot should have a philosophy notes once every month or two months, because I cannot fathom why they refuse to change things like conqueror, or why they might want fights to only last 2 seconds. "Ignite's damage nerf should come as no surprise: it's been flooding summoner spell choices across multiple lanes." Then why has it taken till patch 9.2? Why not push it out in patch 9.1, or even 8.24b? Ignite was buffed in 8.6 and has only been growing in popularity since then, especially since worlds. It had its time in the sun, I don't know why they didn't touch it.

I don't know, this game just isn't for me anymore.

Balance is delicate. League just went through a hellacious tank meta where nothing died, and it was frightfully boring, both to play and to watch. All the damage buffs were meant to curb that.

They're dialing back the damage carefully and trying to make defensive items on squishies more appealing to try to fix exactly the things you're worried about, but without making things unkillable again.

There's also plans to rework/replace Conqueror, probably with something similar to the old Fervor of Battle, where it gives you stacking AD the longer you're in combat.

9.3 is going to considerably address True damage though, as it's reverting IE to the previous version (almost)

It's also going to make Yasuo scaling harder again, as it both is making item 3046 more of a defensive item, reducing its Crit on Yasuo by 10%, and removing a lot of its move speed/damage to target mitigation, and taking away the crit doubling on IE. (PD + IE will only = 90% Crit)

You need to realize: they are working on a LOT of balance changes right now; but they are tied to specific patch cycles, not just escalated to the very patch you're getting.

On the plus side:

  • They are lowering Rune stat per node by 10% for offensive runes.
  • They are increasing Defensive runes by 18-20%
  • They are decreasing the early game Mag Pen.
  • They are reducing Baron buff damage.

A lot of the things they did this patch is going to reduce damage...

Its all for the e-sport bud. No one wants to watch the old style league of legends...they want the call of duty style of league of legends.
