Make Dynamic Terrain give Assist

TL:DR Make ANIVA and Taliyah Wall grant assist on enemies being near them.

Biased Opinion being a semi Aniva main maybe. But with seeing more control mages I've seen this Happen to me WAY more than i care to count. I Set up a perfect gank/team fight with my wall and don't get a chance to get damage off, either by range or cool downs. Most of the time it would be from I open up on someone and as the enemy team flees I get a wall off to stop someone. The team smashes them before i get anything off on them, I get no assist. Even though my wall is the only reason we got that kill. I guess just make the wall maybe have a super small 1 damage tick around it or something? ANYTHING to help good game play be rewarded! I would see this being also rewarded on Taliyah as well. Trundle already has the slow and the 1 dmg from pillar.

Tanking should give assists too. I hate soaking all the damage up but being melee and unable to get an AA in before they die, or being stunlocked and focused and winning our team the fight because of me tanking all the damage. But no assist. Its even worse when i die cuz of it and still no assist

They kind of do.

However, you have to physically move the champion to get the assist on them. Not so great of a system. As in, if you bump them by placing the wall smack on top of them, you get the assist, but if you block off a jungle path and they just run into it, no dice.

I'd like to see this added, would make sense, but it'd be very rare that you don't get a assist sense you'd be in the battle anyways and more than likely use a spell if not at least auto attack them once for the assist. But I think this would be a good idea.

To be honest, I'm not sure riot could do the coding to give a player an assist for that. If you put up a wall but the enemy only runs into it/doesn't even run into it, it'd be pretty tough to give you an assist for that. If you put the wall so it displaces them, it will give an assist.

Shrug

Yes PLEASE. As Taliyah using an ult wall and not being able to ride it (low health, too many enemies there if you're splitting them up, etc) to the end to hit them and get an assist for it is annoying. Hitting them with the ult wall is also extremely risky in and of itself and unreliable for bumping people back towards you're team just to get an assist. It's annoying - not 110% please fix (I can live with it) but it'd be super nice if I did get assists for those. It'd be a nice quality of life change if it was implemented.

Currently you must do damage or debuff an enemy to get an assist. Before Taliyah, all CC spells that didn't do damage did 1 point of true damage for assists purposes, champs like trundle with his pillar or anivia with her wall, you must knock back the enemy champion for it to register the damage. I don't know why Riot didn't incorporate that for Taliyah because it has the same mechanics as those other spells.

I know what they did for Trundle was make his pillar do 1 damage to grant assists, maybe they do the same for the others?

To be honest the assist system has been fucked for a long time now.
