@Riot, with the upcoming mage update, will Liandry's torment be getting any changes?

I personally don't think it's overly weak or strong or anything, but I do feel like it has a bit of an identity issue right now. I feel like with the current % health damage the item is intended to help you soften up targets, but it is also effective against targets with large health pools, however the item also features flat Magic pen which is something traditionally you get against targets with low MR. On top of all of this the damage comes out as a DoT, so this makes the item appeal to champs who want to burn the opponent down. Then it randomly has some health thrown is in as a stats as well. As a player I've never been 100% sure when I'm supposed to pick this item up, except on champs that can really abuse the passive damage.

Personally I feel like this item could be split into 2 or maybe 3 other items with specific niches, but obviously I understand that means more points to balance around. Anyway was just curious with all the mage changes if it would be featured at all.

It's an item for Battle Mages (using Riot's new lingo). When you look at it in that light, it should make perfect sense.

I agree that the flat pen is a little strange, but I think it's good for the item, overall. I think if it had % pen with % health damage, it would just be flat out broken.

And yes, they've already stated no changes for that item.

its a terrible item. no wait. its not terrible it just. makes weak abilities. a little stronger. teemo shrooms for example. the item. has good synergy with 1 or two abilities. otherwise put it on any mages and you won't notice jack shit. buff the health percentage to double at least. like wtf. botrk is weak now and if you have a 5.0 as adc like kog maw hes doing the linandries passive total damage in less than 0.2 seconds.
