Ad dominance: math done

Hey guys! I just made some math while discussing with a forum user to back-up my argument... it took me some time so I thought I may share this here for everyone who wants to discuss about this/just would like to see the counts done.

Of course there could be something wrong, feel free to let me know if this is the case!

  • 0,6 is Quinn's pick rate in mid-lane. The other common mid-lane adc is corki which has a pick rate of 5,43%, and then we have Varus at 1,25 %. So 7,28 % of times we see an adc in mid, while the adc that can be used in mid are the 6% of mid champs..( so, little more then they should be picked in ideal balance)

  • 0,83 is her pick rate in jungle. Other adc option are Kindred, at 6,99%, and Graves, at 5,49%. Its' 13,31% of times an adc in jungle, with adcs being the 6,5% of jungle champions. (more then double then they should be picked in a balanced situation.)

  • Her pick rate in toplane is 2,66 % , and Graves is at 8,72. It's 11,38 % a toplaner adc. Adcs are the 3,44% of toplane champions. They are picked in top almost 4 times more then they should be picked if situation was balanced.

  • Assuming that just one of these option is used in a single game, and that in bot there will be an adc in 100% of cases ( Morde's pick rate is so low it doesn't even show up lel ), every scenario in which one of these picks is present leads to a double adc team comp. It's almost 32% (31,97) of times a team running a double adc.... Adc champions in the game are almost 15% of the total.

If this situation shouldn't induce reflection on adc's strenght right now, I don't know what should.

I might add all our speech doesn't include ad assassins, who for the most part are having HUGE benefits from the use of ad items too, but we were talking about adcs so I limited myself there..

  • it would have lead me to say that, in the lane where ap should be most relevant, you don't have an ap in almost 38% of cases, with ap champions being almost 82% of mid-lane champions...and Ad champs 18%. This info though can't be used to say "they are picked twice then they should", because pick situation is influenced by the 59% ban rate to Zed.. we can't know if he was going to be picked in those more-then-half games in which he got banned....

AD champions have been strong since mid season 4 if not earlier. The tipping point was when they literally needed half the so item pool and then they later buffed Maw. K.
