I don't think Riot should call it a rework when the new champion has almost notthing to do with the old one. Call it what it is. A replacement. Because both following lore and gameplay, the new and old Poppy are nothing like each other.
And nothing of value was lost. All of the fun and interesting concepts from the old kit were preserved, and everything else was improved.
They should rename new one as Rip Poppy
She is a tank that has 3 abilities designed to get close to enemies and staying there while her ulti is the hardest dissengage ever in lol. Before she was an all in champion with a lot of damage, kinda like tryndamere and Yi in her own unique way. She was an assassin/carry, now she is a tank. You build her different, you play her different, her lore is different. The only simmilar thing is heroic charge, which if you look at the champion without comparing her to the old seem realy out of place.
