Bronze Climb

I recently made my way out of bronze starting at Bronze 5... If "bronzies" are anything like me, they want to know the secret to getting out of "elo-hell". I made a list of mistakes on the microsoft default program "Notepad" and named it "dontfuckuppad". I listed all the mistakes I made and things I should learn, during my games, I had this pulled up to remind me of what I need to do or not do. Here are some of the things:

  1. Be careful of openings (mostly for adc). Meaning most supports have that one ability that can screw you: Blitzcrank grab, thresh hook,Janna tornado etc. and you want to avoid that spot where they can get you from, so positioning.

  2. Watch minimap. During my free time in lane I watched the minimap, trying to figure out where the jungler is and see where mine is.

  3. Watch for when team falls back. When a teamate gets picked out before a teamfight happens and your team falls back, don't stay, follow them.

  4. Be aware of enemies positioning. Keep wards up, if your ward is on cooldown, freeze lane (only last hit, don't continue to auto the minion wave), watch where the laners are going and see if you can spot the jungler on the map and call his positioning to your team. Also, when your laner is changing positions, be careful, this can indicate a gank.

  5. Predict abilities. If an enemy is changing their position, avoid the reason why they are. one Blitzcrank grab can lose you the game.

  6. Don't be too ballsy. We all know the term, but don't be too thirsty to get that level 1 kill and dive the tower for it. Learn that you are beating the person in lane and be happy, if they come back, you will most likely to kill them because you are beating them. You will have more than one chance.

  7. Trust your frontline. People are afraid of following up in a teamfight and aren't there in time when it does break out. Trust your frontline, they are standing in the front because they realize they are the frontline.

  8. Holding your summoners. Save your summoners unless you need it, save them more as a last resort (unless you have ignite etc.), these can save your life and stop you from feeding.

I will be updating these as I add to my current notepad.

I hope this can help most of you.

I started at the pit of B5, and made it to B3 (demoted from B2) and I can say teamwork is the biggest issue. There's little follow up and low elo players are unable to assess certain situations. Good advice.

Bad teamwork means the most unskilled group of 5s playing easy champions can beat your skilled fed 2 players ramboing with 3 okay people.

Oh. You try that? I mean for me its hard for me to go and try to learn from my mistakes when you have teammates when I'm going on solo games.

I had first pick jungle Nocturne one time. Then we have 4th pick jungle Amumu . And he fed until he was 6/10. He even sold his entire jungle kit like item 1401, item 3110 item 3143 item 3116 item 2045, and and traded for bought 2 item 1058 and 2 item 3089

He's just a troll then, nothing you can do about them. Other than maintaining Positivity, Mental, and Attitude. -Imaqtpie

it's hard to work with your team sometimes.

Earlier this season, I was leveling a smurf out of bronze (sorry), and I have to say, the biggest thing I noticed to climbing was knowing your champion, and the matchups pertaining to them. There were too many times where I'd watch someone stay in lane at 15% hp, against my Ekko or Annie. Or they'd try to go first item Rabadon's against me.

Yeah, when I get a kill in lane, I usually back right after if it's an early kill, just so I can be ahead in EXP and Items.

How to easily climb:

  1. Champions that can't make many mistakes are more consistent. Play those. Warwick vs Elise

  2. Games. Last. Forever. Mid - late game champs tend to do better in low elo. No one in TDM, I mean bronze, can close out a game to save their life. Don't rely on snowball.

  3. Easy roams work. Shen TwistedFate Nocturne etc. Win by numbers advantage.
