Bronze Climb Tips
I recently made my way out of bronze starting at Bronze 5... If "bronzies" are anything like me, they want to know the secret to getting out of "elo-hell". I made a list of mistakes on the microsoft default program "Notepad" and named it "dontfuckuppad". I listed all the mistakes I made and things I should learn, during my games, I had this pulled up to remind me of what I need to do or not do. Here are some of the things:
-
Be careful of openings (mostly for adc). Meaning most supports have that one ability that can screw you:
grab,
hook,
tornado etc. and you want to avoid that spot where they can get you from, so positioning. -
Watch minimap. During my free time in lane I watched the minimap, trying to figure out where the jungler is and see where mine is.
-
Watch for when team falls back. When a teamate gets picked out before a teamfight happens and your team falls back, don't stay, follow them.
-
Be aware of enemies positioning. Keep wards up, if your ward is on cooldown, freeze lane (only last hit, don't continue to auto the minion wave), watch where the laners are going and see if you can spot the jungler on the map and call his positioning to your team. Also, when your laner is changing positions, be careful, this can indicate a gank.
-
Predict abilities. If an enemy is changing their position, avoid the reason why they are. one
grab can lose you the game. -
Don't be too ballsy. We all know the term, but don't be too thirsty to get that level 1 kill and dive the tower for it. Learn that you are beating the person in lane and be happy, if they come back, you will most likely to kill them because you are beating them. You will have more than one chance.
-
Trust your frontline. People are afraid of following up in a teamfight and aren't there in time when it does break out. Trust your frontline, they are standing in the front because they realize they are the frontline.
-
Holding your summoners. Save your summoners unless you need it, save them more as a last resort (unless you have ignite etc.), these can save your life and stop you from feeding.
I will be updating this as I add to my "dontfuckuppad"
If you have any tips you could add, you can comment them and I can add them.
I hope this can help most of you.
