ARURF ruined a good thing

so its clearly not random i keep facing the same fucking champs and getting the same champs. facing blitz over and over again. riot cant let the players have a good thing and anyone who says this is more balanced is crazy. maybe sometimes, but the whole purpose of urf would be to play who u want to play- for fun. its not fun getting stuck in games with champs i dont want when the teams are not balanced at all. its fucking ridiculous. riot is a goddamn joke

It is random, you just don't understand how probability works. I feel like it was somewhat of an oversight making shaco and fiora free in the same week as ARURF though.

I understand the law of large numbers, etc. But it just plain feels bad as a Lulu main, who has used several accounts trying to get Lulu to only get 2 games on Lulu (had to reroll and trade to get one of them, luckly I got the trade), Where I have gotten Rammus, Bard, Trundle, and others at least 2 times. I know that still falls in the RANDOM, but its just a feel bad, because I do like those champions, and they can do well, I like Lulu more.

And the whole free week, and the whole "This champion is OP so I'll look for it with my rerolls" has priority given to the annoying champions. I still can't believe they have both of those, AND SHACO as free week during an URF event.

It's unlucky for sure, and I wish I could pick my own champions, but unfortunately people ruined that by picking what was "meta" instead of what was just fun, making normal URF incredibly stale after a few games. People treat the mode like ranked and focus too much on winning.

honestly man u seem kinda clueless in terms of "random". yes people may have ruined urf but the entire argument is moot. they fucked the community by removing urf because the players should at least have the choice. favorite game mode not favorite champs. and since when is playing meta not what league is? who cares if players take it seriously. i wanna cast spells i want at 80%cdr on the champs i want. youve faced shaco and fiora bc they are free? ive hardly seen em. its not random. they can say its random and u can say its random but its clearly not. i understand how probability works i was actually talking about probability a few hours ago on an unrelated topic. i get it. its not fckn random. it may be somewhat random but its not and on top of that nothing on the internet can be truly random

It's impossible to generate a truly random number. but it's close enough that it's effectively random.

show me a single source that backs this up. because everything that actually has statistics for champions in AR games shows that it's random. There's bias towards champions that people prefer to play and commonly owned champions obviously because less people will reroll them, or more people own them. While not that statistically relevant as I'm only one person, I am actually somewhat documenting what I get in ARURF and will probably make something of a post after it's over on monday. From what I saw last week though, there weren't any outliers in champions I got, and I played quite a number of games.

Random is Random.

Just because a champion was in one game they do not disappear for the next random pick. While the chance of getting the same things again and again is low, it is not 0% and thus....it can happen to some people.
