Thank You Rito

Initially following the Veigar changes patch 5.4 Veig was in a bad state. The E was utterly useless and the Q wasn't safe enough to poke with and good luck hitting anything with W. Since that patch, you've greatly improved his E (I'm lookin' at patch 5.5 for that one) and made the Q a wonderful zoning tool with a fantastic range for safer play. The passing through two targets helps farming immensely as well.

I've been very critical of the Veigar changes since 5.4 primarily because I have the most fun in this game playing as him. So after 5.4 I haven't been keeping the best track of his changes. After picking him up again this patch to test him out I feel even stronger than before. I've been dumping on people, even if I don't win, I feel like a shining golden god! Mwahahahaaa! The Q is far better and although the E still isn't as good as before (which is acceptable to me considering the buffs since and the new badass Q) the cast animation is fly as f$%^!

Just won lane against Zed. My confidence in him is completely restored. Took a few patches, but you done good Rito. I love him more now than I did before. You probably don't get many thank yous on boards, but I'm givin' you one now.

Curling Veigar stopped by with a thread within the last week voicing his own improved opinion of the changes, which was nice.

I think Veigar is strong. I just find him boring now. He will play every game the same, now. So did Riot do a good job as far as balance? Yes, very well. But as far as a well developed kit? Not so much. They could easily make tweaks to make his kit flow well, but I don't think they really care. And that is what makes me upset.

Well, I like Veigar, but I believe the stun wall either needs to be thicker, or closes in eventually. Everything else is fine. It's really hard to get someone into that very skinny stun wall with his e.

I've played Veigar 3 times this past week (my only time playing him post-rework) and I've gotten fed as him and won my games. Either this has to do with how well he can farm with Q for his AP, or the fact that people don't understand much about Veigar because no one played him post-rework. In the end, I personally like the new veigar even though his E isn't as effective as it used to be.
