I know this is an on going issue, but I'm silver 1 and I'm having 10+minute queue times on a regular basis....I know I am trash elo but what is going on with your algorithms?

Queue are based on playerbase population. A lot of us were tired of Dynamic Queue and when Overwatch came out, the ones who can afford jump ship. This was why queue timers are longer now. At this rate, I give this game a year tops before half of our active playerbase is gone.
I was seeing a noticeable increase for a bit now, but it was never that bad. Then again, I haven't been on Summoner's Rift in...actually a long time outside of rotating game modes. So maybe a whole lot of people are like me and just not feeling up to playing right now.
Silver should have a massive portion of the player-base though, so unless you were playing at super odd hours then this might be a bad sign. Check it for a couple weeks and let's hope the queue times improve.
So keep in mind I play on EUW, not the same player-base. But...
I sometimes have 10+ min Queues, but they are very rare, maybe 1 every 10 or 20 games, and I'm Queuing for Top/Jung or Mid/Top. Most of my queues are around 5 min. If I have a Sup in my premade, it's almost always under 20 s.
