I know this is an on going issue, but I'm silver 1 and I'm having 10+minute queue times on a regular basis....I know I am trash elo but what is going on with your algorithms?

Queue are based on playerbase population. A lot of us were tired of Dynamic Queue and when Overwatch came out, the ones who can afford jump ship. This was why queue timers are longer now. At this rate, I give this game a year tops before half of our active playerbase is gone.

That's wrong. The main limiting factor of Queue times is the lack of Supports. Any Support, and any premade of any form and shape containing a Support has near instant Queues.

I was seeing a noticeable increase for a bit now, but it was never that bad. Then again, I haven't been on Summoner's Rift in...actually a long time outside of rotating game modes. So maybe a whole lot of people are like me and just not feeling up to playing right now.

Silver should have a massive portion of the player-base though, so unless you were playing at super odd hours then this might be a bad sign. Check it for a couple weeks and let's hope the queue times improve.

So keep in mind I play on EUW, not the same player-base. But...

I sometimes have 10+ min Queues, but they are very rare, maybe 1 every 10 or 20 games, and I'm Queuing for Top/Jung or Mid/Top. Most of my queues are around 5 min. If I have a Sup in my premade, it's almost always under 20 s.

I support quite a lot and even with me putting support fill (which means I should queue instantly) my friend and I have 5 min queue times. Bare in mind that is only one friend (is a duo) and he is only covering 2 roles so the queue should be almost instantly with me covering the least popular roles.

I have literally never encountered such a case. I have queued with a friend who pick Sup/Top and me Top/Jung many times, sometimes just the two of us, and sometimes with a 3rd or 4th guy, and we never, really never, had more than 1 min 30 s to wait.

I wonder why it's not the case for you. Does it happen often? Do you play very late at night when few people are still up? Do you have a big difference in your rankings, you and your friend? Maybe you should contact the Support and ask them?

I don't think is the time since I play after work (7pm til midnight) so I'm guessing is one of the most popular times. He is G4 and I was playing on a S1 account so the difference in MMR is not so much. He plays adc/jg and I was Supp/Fill. most of the time we wait around 4-5 min to actually get into a queue.

That's really surprising, but I don't know what else you can do other than blame a streak of bad luck.
