Balance Patches

So I know this will be a touchy topic for most players as there are people on both sides of the balance spectrum who love and hate what Riot's balance team is currently doing. So I have a proposal for any Rioters who are willing to take a risk.

Currently balance changes are made by a select group of individuals behind closed doors without the community knowing the full discussions about balance taking place. What my proposal is, is essentially that a poll system is adopted for gameplay and balance changes. This system would be similar to one another popular game by the name of Old School Runescape uses. The basis of the system would be that on the Client or League Website all proposed changes for a patch will be displayed for players to vote whether or not they will be pushed through, each change will have a yes/no option and an option to provide feedback as to why said change would be good/bad for the balance of the game.

After the patch is released with cooperation between both Riot and the Community, Riot can reveal the main issues/concerns the players had and begin discussions about what direction they want to take said champions down that had these issues arise around. After the discussion Rioters could make a post allowing for new suggestions on what balance changes occur next patch. Once a significant amount of suggestions have been collected, similar suggestions will be pooled together to form a generalized question for each change.

The cycle of this sort of feedback system would be close to the cycle which patches are released on to keep the information and feedback of the players as relative as possible. The idea of this sort of system is to give both players and Devs a voice without discriminating against players for either being in a low elo bracket or being brand new to the game. I hope those of you who take the time to read this do leave a comment below as to your opinion on this proposal to intertwine the Community and Gameplay Balance.

That would be a horrible idea.

The playerbase's ideas on balance are more often that not flat out terrible for the game and the champions they want them for.
