If you take away the ms buff that is plenty to bring vayne into line, I don't know what to replace it with exactly maybe people below can expand, but I believe this is the best place to start, without taking away her identity in the rest of her kit.
Just buy the item that counters Percent Health True Damage.

Maybe instead of a strong ms steroid they can make it similar to fizz and just ignore unit collision, that way it does help she just can't chase no one down. Which I think is the main problem, because if the fight is in side of her team, then that's where the problem lays. I don't think players aren't able to deal with her, it's when they don't; the fight is automatically over because they can't then get away. I really do think this is a good place to start though.
I think IF they do anything (which Riot never said anything about Vayne nerfs btw) they should just make her passive so she gains movement speed per level instead of 30 right off the bat. Really Vayne isn't op. You still have a lot of people who can't play her for crap. I don't understand why people get mad that a good Vayne does what Vayne is supposed to do.
Where did we say this? Just talking around the office, that's really not the impression I get. If you had said, "The fact that Vayne isn't getting nerfed in 5.16 is sad really," then that's more reasonable. I can assure that in the last few days I've had several conversations about Vayne that weren't just on the boards.
Is she getting changes in 5.16? No. However, that doesn't necessarily mean we aren't aware of the community sentiment on the subject.
But yes I agree, that's the problem she's not way out of adjustment I'm thinking of a good place to start without messing up her identity.

Thinking about it I actually agree with this. But, they will most likely nerf her Q W or E very slightly and start jerking each other off saying "well done".
Think before you speak.
There's a high chance that they will replace that MS passive boost and turn it into something more dangerous. It wouldn't be the first time they've done that.
