I feel like he isn't played that often and is one of the forgotten mid champs.
I'm a xerath main and i want to see where he stands in the meta right now. Why isn't he picked more often and is he considered a bad pick in high or low elo or both? Do people just pick xerath as a situational and pick?

He's just a worse Ziggs imo
Not meta because ultimate is too difficult to hit. I play Xerath because it's fun and doesn't fall off hard mid-late game like Vel'Koz. Ziggs' ultimate is much easier to hit and can effectively be used to clear huge minions waves.
I've seen players use him to counter my Ryze pick. As an AP champion, he has an insane amount of range that makes it hard for players to poke him. His Q despite being a skill shot is also extremely hard to dodge.
