PSA: Don't ban Someone's Champ Just Because you Didn't get Their Position

AnonymousPoro·3/15/2016, 3:02:38 AM·26 votes·2,569 views

I don't know how many times this has happened to me before. I get mid, bot wanted mid, they ban my champ and I have to either dodge or play a champ/position that I didn't want. Not only is it ruining my experience, but your teammates' experiences as well.

(FYI, I've even had someone ban Syndra before because I wouldn't switch positions with them. Syndra)

PSA, it's my ban and I'll do what I want with it. If I think our chances of winning go up by banning you from playing your 40% winrate pick, then that's probably what I'm gonna do. Nothing else I could do with it increases my win chance as much, it's basic logic.

Yeah, I actually do op.gg everyone on my team to make sure they aren't fucking terrible with their intent. I wish I didn't have to.

PSA; Stop being a dick.

I suggest you to stop showing your champion then, unless he/she is ban worthy and you need a trade for those then, people can be really butthurt when they don't get what they want or simply feed, afk... one trick ponies... you get my point... good luck climbing hoping that doesn't happen to you again :)!

Asking people to not get up and shit in the middle of the table durring dinner where they eat their food too, because you were passed the plate of fried-chicken first and got the big piece dosnt work either.

People willing to basicly shit on themselves also just cause they get to shit on you dont work on normal logic. This PSA is the same as saying "Dont try to run the car your in off the road just cause you didnt get to ride shotgun."

Abnormal fucktards work on abnormal thinking. Telling them not to do asshole shit that screws them over too is like me telling you NOT to wear shoes while cleaning up broken glass.... youre going to ignore me and think Im stupid for telling you not to do something you think is a good idea.

Sorry youre in an elo with fucktards... so am I.

I had a match where either to troll, or out of moronic failure to pay attention to what they qued as one of my matches had our "bot" lock in Blitzcrank... they thought it was funny... to deny us an ADC, we lost, big surprise... fucktards man, we all hate them, but I dont go around making PSAs that say "Pay attention to what you que as, if your bot then dont lock in support because you also qued as support and assumed you would get that without looking."

I dont know if your venting (which is fine, but dont frame it as a PSA) or if you think youre informing people. Either way, good luck in avoiding fucktards in the future.

The only time I ban someone's champ is when last pick wants a contested pick, like Malphite.

I've never really run into that issue, but it doesn't surprise me. Some people can get rather salty over the smallest things.

Then again, my champion pool for my preferred lanes has several redundancies. I'll pretty much always have a champion that I am good at and enjoy to fill a certain niche within my main roles.

Don't use pick intent. People always either spite-ban a champion which causes another spite-ban in return and now all of our bans are gone and we have no team. Or they'll ban someone's pick intent and say "Sorry I wasn't paying attention," in which case pick intent wouldn't have mattered anyway and they're probably lying and just didn't want you to play that champion. Which usually results in another spite-ban.

If my jungler isn't using pick intent, I'll ask if he wants to play Yi/Udyr/Xin if he's 1st/2nd pick. Just to make sure I don't ban them if he wants them.

Don't ban someone pick just because you hate that champ either.

Is there really some giant issue with people queuing up as one role, and then trying to get a different one once the game starts?

Because I haven't seen it ever, but I keep seeing threads like this.

EcchiOtakuTM3/15/2016, 9:17:04 AM1 votes

Honestly only way a pick intent should be banned is if it's a new champ and you don't want your team to feed with them.

Spoofghoul3/15/2016, 3:35:19 PM1 votes

then ban his champ too and pick the one his buddy wants HA

dont forget to rush zzrot portal and put it in his lane to steal farm

just gotta troll back twice as hard when people are whiny bitches.

PSA: Don't show your seldom pick/banned champion if you are a 1 trick and unable to play anything else.

I had the same thing happen to me, the guy had a friend, I didn't show my champ, but I didn't let him go Jungle for Top since Im not comftarble top, thats why I take hungle and mid as my roles. He banned Kha Zix Khazix (I "main" him) because thats what he was going to pick, and he said "Oh sorry I had to ban Kha since the enemy has Kha." Then I show that I want to play as Rengar Rengar , thinking he cant ban me anymore so at least I'll have someone I know how to use. Then his friend bans Rengar saying "Sorry man but the enemy has a rengar too" Then my friend was banning so I chose Jax ( 1st time playing him back then) and they both said to ban Jax Jax (not knowing it was my friend) because "the enemy team" has Jax as if they knew. We lost that game since I was learning the champ while playing ranked meaning people will do their best to win. GG hopefully they get banned. Of course they said to report me for being a noob Jax and Killstealing (while most of the ks'ing was from their part, and it's not a bannable offence unless you feed the enemy team while doing it). I wish I could just avoid ppl like this. :/

Some butthurt %%%% banned my champion because I refused to give him mid. He dodged at the last second. Hopefully the guy fills support

DJColdCutz3/15/2016, 3:18:58 AM1 votes

Don't show a preferred champion.

Meriipu3/15/2016, 3:32:49 AM1 votes

I stopped selecting my intended pick after last pick who also mained the same champion banned it and went all "oops I thought I was picking xD"

Astôlfo3/15/2016, 3:35:58 AM1 votes

This should be a given. People are just so immature. :P

Beldair3/15/2016, 3:40:40 AM1 votes

Yea....i see that happen to a lot of ppl on my teams and occassionally myself.

When they do it, they always said "oops, i didn't see that. Sorry".

And i'm sitting there thinking "GG. If they didn't notice that then they are gonna have terrible map awareness".
